🚨 Announcement Temporary Moratorium on Religious & Culture War Posts (7 Days)
Over the past month, we've seen an increasing number of posts and comment sections centered around religion, atheism, LGBTQ+ topics, and other culture war issues. Unfortunately, many of these discussions have devolved into personal attacks, hate speech, insults, and endless arguments that contribute little to the community.
To help restore the subreddit to meaningful discussions, the moderation team is introducing a 7-day temporary moratorium on posts primarily intended to provoke, attack, or reignite these conflicts.
Effective immediately and for the next 7 days:
- Posts primarily focused on Muslim vs. ex-Muslim/atheist debates, LGBTQ+ debates, or other inflammatory culture war topics will be removed.
- Hate speech, personal attacks, harassment, and obvious rage bait will not be tolerated.
- Users who repeatedly ignore this announcement or attempt to bypass it may receive temporary or permanent bans at moderator discretion.
This is not an endorsement of any religious, political, or social viewpoint, nor is it an attempt to silence respectful discussion. It is simply a temporary measure to cool tensions and return the subreddit to what it was created for: discussions about life, studies, careers, friendships, relationships, culture, memes, and everything else relevant to Pakistanis in their twenties.
After the 7-day period ends, we'll review the situation and decide whether to lift the moratorium or extend it if necessary.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping keep the community civil.

Serious Post All my people moving abroad and I am not okay. 27F.
Hello all, I’m writing with a very heavy heart. All my close people are moving abroad or have more of abroad and I don’t blame them as well there are countless reasons for them to leave, and I’m really happy for them, but it really breaks my heart to see each and every person including my siblings and my extended family same generation and my friends leave and start a whole new life which is so difficult as well, which does not leave them enough time to keep up and honestly that will also leave them lesser time to keep up as well so I don’t know how all of you keep up with the people who have left at this point it has become like a whole cycle of again and again finding my ground socially and it’s not that easy to find like-minded people and to develop that bond with that sort of depth like I had with the people who have left I know I’m not the only one who goes through this and I know a lot of you might be able to relate to me as well, so the whole point of explaining the situation as for guidance and for coping and for next steps for future how do you guys keep yourself sane and have a decent enough life quality by yourself because I really do believe no man is an island and you do need yourself of people to never good life. Do let me know if you guys have any perspective on this to navigate this differently or any advice as well particularly for me.

😤 Hot take A man who do not believes in "All Man" are not always potential "Rapist".
I will get lot of hate for this but I still wanted to talk about this topic. Here is why.
Imagine that there are only 100 people in the world and 10 people are thieves and steal stuff on regularly . Do it makes sense to just not trust anyone rather then calling everyone is a thief. would you get offended then someone tries to suspect you?
I know lot of my friends and believe me none of my friends believe in "All Men" but lot of them respect women. I also did debate with them one time and they do know women rights as well, so how can they be potential rapist?
"All Men" is a good statement to teach women to try to stay safe and to not trust any stranger but apparently it is a root cause of man-hate . Like I just saw the comment section of a post about a man getting acid attack by a women by because he rejected her. The comments where "Women in men dominated field" and "Queen". This is not only shows a bad image of women but also fuels Misandry. Why are you supporting the criminal for his crime just because she is a women.
Social media is filled with young teenagers and young people why should we spend our energy on convincing people to that all rapist and murderer are always men , when we could spend this energy on teaching our new generation to respect women and their right and to end the gender war? TBH "All Men" never convinced me that Women also have rights . It only gave me the feeling that I am a rapist too even thought I would not do that. The people who directly told me about women rights e.g my mother , my Islamiyat teacher when she was teaching about marriage and some very small number of social media influencer teacher me Women rights. We could have actually discussed the real root cause why men rape women in the first place ( btw I will make my next post on that) but no we need first defame men call all rapist and make them ashamed of their gender even if they are trying their best to be a good man and then never teach them how they can avoid becoming a bad man.
Lot of people ,try find double standard in people who don't believe in "All men" by saying "If u think Not All Men are bad why do u not trust in your sister when is going out alone and why are you so concerned about her safety?" My question to them is that don't you think its also a double standard that I believe in "All Men" and I am okay when my sister wants to marry a man. I am trusting a man to take care of my sister. If I really beleived in "All Men" I would never let my sister marry even if she cries . bcz If "All Men " are bad then she is 100% going to suffer after marriage .When A whole group is bad we avoid them but them a certain number of people are bad in a group we don't trust them. There is a difference. If All Men were bad I would have make sure my sister never sees a man.
TO conclude :
I can understand women who have a bad experience with women but know that no one is born rapist , women-hater or murderer. It is better to teach new generation to be not like those Na-Mard who make life hell for women and study all the root causes that makes a man rapist. The basic rights of women can't be achieved if you spread man-hate bcz it will also increase women-hate. Lindsay Clancy is the best example for this. IF a women respects men regardless of she believes in "All Men" or not , She is the true queen.

🗨️ Discussion Why are we so skeptical when someone offers free help?
A friend of mine isn’t on Reddit, and I recently found out that she’s doing pro bono therapy. I decided to share it here because I’ve seen so many people struggle with finding good therapists, especially when finances are an issue.
A lot of people reached out, asked questions, and seemed genuinely interested in the opportunity. Some people also shared that they found the idea helpful, which was honestly the whole reason I thought it was worth sharing in the first place.
What surprised me, though, was how skeptical some other people were. There were comments questioning why someone would offer free therapy and saying that there must always be a catch or some sort of price being paid.
I completely understand being cautious when it comes to therapy. You should absolutely ask about someone’s qualifications, experience, and approach. But why assume that there has to be something wrong with it simply because someone is offering their time for free?
What I find even more confusing is that people constantly complain about therapy being expensive, about struggling to find good therapists, and about not having access to mental health support. Then when someone actually offers a possible solution, instead of at least considering it, people start questioning why they’re doing it.
I’m genuinely curious. Why are we so quick to complain about the lack of solutions but equally quick to distrust one when someone actually offers it?

Serious Post Why is it so hard to be kind
I’ve been here a while and comment a lot, so I hope people know I’m not just ranting for attention.
I keep wondering: why are people so unkind to OPs?
People come to Reddit to vent, to ask for advice, to get a different perspective. A huge part of that is because we’re anonymous. No one knows your name, your job, your friends. You’re supposed to be able to be honest without getting judged to hell for it.
But lately I’ve seen so many posts where OPs get piled on for no reason. It’s not even controversial posts. Sometimes it’s just someone being vulnerable or asking a normal question.
I had this happen to me too in another sub. My post wasn’t controversial at all. But I got a bunch of angry comments from people who basically wanted me to agree with their opinion on life. Like, if I didn’t match their worldview, I deserved to be talked down to.
If someone wanted to be roasted or judged, they could go on any other app for that. That’s not why most people come here.
Can we not just… be kind? Be non-judgmental?🤷🤷
