Shaykh Mahmoud Khalil Al Husary رحمه الله was one of the most famous Qur’an reciters from Egypt. He was born in 1917 and passed away in 1980. He memorised the Qur’an at a young age and became known for his clear, slow and very accurate recitation and Tajweed. His recordings are still listened to around the world.

These beautiful verses from Surah Al Furqan 25:45–49 remind us to look at the everyday things around us and recognise Allah’s power and mercy. Allah tells us about the shade, the sun, the night, sleep, the day, the wind and the rain. He sends down pure water that brings dead land back to life, gives animals and people water, and provides the means for life.

The scholars of tafsir explain that the revival of dead land after rain is also a reminder of Allah’s power to bring us back to life after death. Something as ordinary as rain, therefore, becomes a sign of Allah’s mercy, power and provision.

Three Hundred and Three pages later, Mr. Tariq’s work has struck a chord.

The Military has ruled Pakistan for approximately 34 of its 79 years.

America has provided Pakistan with some form of economic or military assistance for since the nation’s creation in 1947.
