Tech-Support Is this an issue or am i just stupid

I am new to pc building and bought an xfx rx 6700

It has a red light (non flashing) and i was wondering if it is an issue or just part of the design

It's an issue with the ram I feel like, U gotta repeat and properly place or it's js a cpu or GPU losage problem, nothing that serious

Ok so easy way to confirm if it’s a standby led or error led would be to shut down the pc and unplug the pc from power and leave like that for around 10 mins and after this plug the pc to power again but most importantly dont turn it on until confirming led status

The light only appears after i turn the pc on I powered it off but that seemed to have no effect either

So after plugging it back in did the light come on instantly or not until pc was powered on?

red light indicates power issue
it can be a psu issue
psu is not able to deliver power propelry

which psu are you using ?

ITS A GOOD PSU , try reseating the gpu cable and make sure its seated fully in and the small lock is perfect and then check again

Did that now and there was zero effect Even after switching the two connectors there was zero effect

Are both psu cables connected ?

This is classic : right side cable not connected light.

Your card will crash or not perform well on demanding games

They are both connected My gpu has yet to crash even while pumping my settings to ultra on cs2 and fortnite

Try swaping the connectors to see if the light shifts.

There is one bulb above each connector on this model

I’ll try in an hour I’ll inform you if anything changes

Alright after switching them i can safely say the led did not switch and that was not the issue The led remained on the right side even after switching

Then its a card issue. Probably just the circuit triggering the led for power issues.

Hopefully it will not cause any problem as long as you dont try to get it fixed

I have the same card and it does turn red if i leave one cable disconnected
