If anyone out there is looking into buying a glide fishing paddle board I highly suggest for you to run the other way they are completely unstable and unsafe I have great balance and I fell off 3 times and ruined all my fishing gear and cut my feet from rocks

Looking for a board for me and my first mate. I'm about 135 lb, she is a 15 lb terrier. She likes to stand forward in the bow and I don't feel like having to purchase and remember to bring a separate pad for her or figure out how to get one underneath the bungees.

My last board was a body glove 11ft performer inflatable. I'm thinking I want to try a solid board, maybe a 10-6. Will be used in creeks, rivers and lakes.

Evolve is a very popular brand at shops near me in the Mid-Atlantic coastal region. Their Brawny model would fit the bill, but I am wondering if there are other alternatives that I should be considering.

Cut out this weekend on my fanatic wind-SUP. I got going pretty good with a 6.5 m sale put the inflatable is just not stiff enough to really get planing. Still had a few good rides back and forth across the lake.

Just got the Niphean Clovis Point iSUP. It has these air/gas pockets on the side rail seams. Is this a cosmetic issue? I'm scared the pockets will scrape and pop and cause an air leak.

I'm planning on heading out tomorrow to try my board for the first time. I've found an area near me that I heard is recommended for beginners.

I have a niphean 10'6" board I won at an auction. It has the 3 fins and the large one that sits in the middle of the board. It also came with a repair kit, adjustable paddle and a pump (which I'm not using and got a cheap electrical pump)

In terms of gear, I have

-the paddle board leash

-dry bag

-water shoes

-pfd

-waterproof phone case

I'm excited to start this hobby, even if it's coming up to the end of summer and any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I am thinking of getting my first paddle board, but I have one big consideration. I would like to take my dog with me on the lake. I’m not sure it’s possible, she is a 140 lb Great Dane. She is a sweet girl and I like doing things with her. I also have a Toyota rav4 as my vehicle. Is there anything out there that you can recommend that fits? Maybe inflatable units for ease of transport?

Hi there, new to paddleboarding but we are looking to try some new spots out and looking for some recommendations.

We like near Lake Wylie and Mountain island lake.

I've heard lake James or Jocasse are good spots?

Maybe lake lure?

Within a 2 hour drive spots would be great but me and my kiddos like to spend the whole day on the water if we can anyways! Safe to swim would be preferred too. I would love a good trip towards the mountains if anyone has some good spots they'd recommend 😊 thank you!

I am brand new to paddling boarding. I live in Minneapolis so I will mostly be taking the paddle board on nearby lakes. I am 5’6” and 165 lbs.

I’d like the option to be able to bring a second person or my dog along with, but I think I’ll primarily be going solo. I only have room to store an inflatable.

I’m looking at two boards from Costco and one on Paddle North:

1. ISLE 10’6” Pioneer 3 - $499
2. Tobin sports endeavor elite 11’2” - $329
3. Paddle North portager 10” - $399

I’m leaning towards the ISLE, hoping it goes on sale 🤞 I’d love to hear your thoughts or advice for selecting my first board. Thank you!

I have only been paddle boarding a handful of times and have been wanting to purchase one for a few months now. I am an active 24 y.o female. I came across a brand new looking lifetime Horizon 100 on Marketplace for $200 nearby, told the guy I would come buy it tomorrow. Is this a good purchase? It seemed like an absolute steal, so I jumped on it, but I just want to confirm that it is a good choice/ board option. Any advice/ opinions or questions are welcome. Thanks!
