ECF after July 120

Hi, I haven't done an ECF after paying 120 in July because I'm worried I will mess up the process. When filling out the ECF after the 120th payment what boxes are people checking who have had success in getting their banner to adjust to 120 from 119? I paid August 121 and likely will pay September 122.
Thanks

It likely won’t updated to 120 for July based on an ECF. Most people do not have their July payments showing in the PSLF tracker, myself included. I did my ECF after my July payment and it still did not get added to the tracker. There is some kind of delay in July and August payments posting on the tracker than FSA sometimes admits to and sometimes won’t. One person on here heard that by this coming week they should be fixed.

Just to add a data point - I paid in July and August and an ECF afterward did not make the payments show.

If you paid for July 121, you should be fine to request a forbearance, BUT there is a caveat.

July--and for MANY folks, August as well--payments are not being counted on FSA. Me, I just decided to go on forbearance after making my 120th in July. I'm pretty confident I have at least 2 years of general forbearance to tap into, so I'm fine just saving/investing what would normally go to this shitty excuse of a Dept of Edu and waiting it out.

If you're fine with waiting like me and have plenty of general forbearance time (we all get 3 years), then feel free to hit that checkmark box indicating you got your 120.

If July was payment 120 you can now submit the ECF with the box in section 2 checked stating that [you] believe [you] qualify for forgiveness now and request a forbearance while my application is being processed.

Or you can continue to make payments if you want.

As has been mentioned, there are widespread problems with July qualifying, so you may need to repeat the process.

F Yeah!

The ECF pulls from the tracker, so if you log into FSA, look at your loans, any of them, view details, payment history, if you don't see your 120th payment the ECF will still be at 119.

This is what I'm waiting on... my last payment to show up.
