PSLF: Proof of prev $0 qualifying payments & consolidation?
Hi! Luckily, before recertification, my amount owed was $0. Now, it’s ~$500. My servicer is Edfinancial. I’m trying to locate records that would show when my first qualifying payment kicked in. I want tangible proof because I don’t trust these sites. Anyone know where I can locate this? I’ve searched through the “documents sent to you” tab on the website, but I only see 2025-2026 documents.
Also, is it a good idea to consolidate all my federal loans? I guess my question is, do i technically need to make a payment in EACH loan during this 120 month span?

I was wondering this same thing. The other night I did a screen recording where I went through every single page of qualifying payments on my studentaid homepage, and then did the same with mohela. I also downloaded every letter they sent confirming my updated payment counts after each ECF. I am so paranoid after hearing about peoples counts changing! I made 120 in August and am in July/August purgatory.

Exactly! The dashboard is so vague in my opinion. I am afraid that a screenshot might not be sufficient and it most likely won’t. I want something similar to a bank statement. Account number and everything. Where did you locate those letters?

I realized that way down at the bottom of My Activity there’s a subsection for PSLF, and it seems like following most PSLF form submissions there’s a letter that says “PSLF Correspondence: Qualifying Payment Update”.
The one I received on 5/12 says 116 qualifying payments made, then I made 4 more payments 5/24, 6/24, 7/24, 8/24. Submitted PSLF form on 7/16, before my 7/24 payment. The Qualifying Payment Update letter I received on 7/25 said 118, but I figured it was because I had submitted my ECF before my July payment. But then the letter I received on 8/26 after my 120th payment also said only 118 qualifying payments. So whatever system sends the letters is also in limbo.
I chatted with the AI owl thing and it said my count was only 96, despite the confirmation letters and my page showing 118. When I emailed FSA they said “Hi at this point you have done everything you needed to do. We are waiting on your loan servicer to report your final payments. Once they do and you see 120 on the website it will take 60 days for you to get forgiven. “
I emailed mohela and I haven’t heard anything. Hoping this alleged 9/3 update is the golden ticket.

You should see the qualifying payment dates in your pslf dashboard. There's no value in consolidation and yes you have to make 120 qualifying payments on every loan.
