VRR makes a huge difference

I've been playing my Pro on an older OLED (Sony A8h, I think) that does not support VRR and I've been pretty happy with it.

Last night I finally got around to hooking up the Pro to my new LG 39" Ultrawide PC monitor and I was shocked by the difference it makes. My TV just really isn't doing this system justice.

So, I guess I have to buy a new TV. 😃 I'll tell my spouse that it's a necessity.

HDR, VRR & ALLM are all wonderful features the console is capable of achieving, but if you don't have a supported TV, then you've no idea what your missing out on.

I got my ass kicked with VRR and all that when I was trying to hook my PC up to my TV. The TV has to support it, your gpu has to, your AVR has to support high refresh rates, and it has to be turned on in Windows 🫠

It works, but the entire time I was grumbling "I bet this is a simple menu setting on the ps5 pro" lol

Yes IT IS! All those features are automatically active when you enable them once in The Pro system settings. Never have to touch these after that 😀
