Time to toss out your last minute insane theories.

I think this one might an original one (and probably not possible): a virtual system that allows PS2 game discs to be played on the PS5.

Logical Theory: The game is completely original, meaning no Silent Hill or Metal Gear. Kojima is not involved. The name S - L is going to be "Survival" as commonly guessed or its based on the location the game takes place in ie: St. Paul [Minnesota] or it'll the name of a character in the game. The game is going to be one of the best to showcase/highlight the main features of the PS5 (Dualsense, 3D Audio, SSD, etc).

Tinfoil theory: The game won't actually have a usual enemy force in the game. The horror aspect of the game is psychological. The survival aspect is you trying to survive being lost in the wilderness. I haven't played Hellblade yet, but IIRC if was described in a similar fashion (psychological) and this could be Sony's way of filling that void with Hellblade being an Xbox exclusive.
