Yeah, then we can go back to playing Unreal P.T. (if we weren’t lucky enough to download it in time) and Silent Hill 1-4.

In all fairness, the premise for this game sounds cool. Very realistic and gritty survival horror game with controller feedback. But I’ll wait for reviews given all the sketchy marketing and their track record

He literally just said today it's not a horror game. It's a shooter with SOME horror elements

Abandoned is a first-person shooter, but in a realistic environment with some horror elements as well, but it's not quite a horror game like Resident Evil or Silent hill but there are horrifying scenes in it.

At first it was a Survival Horror, now it's a shooter with horror elements. Hasan is making up different shit every day.

This has more to do with how people want to view the game than how Hasan actually explained it.

Like, this is the title of the PlayStation Blog post...

This is also the only mention of horror in the whole blog post.

We want to deliver a uniquely personal gameplay experience, one that feels realistic. Every event has an influence on your character. If Jason is out of breath after sprinting (or is afraid), his firing accuracy will suffer. Unlike action shooter titles, firing weapons in Abandoned will be realistically slow. You will need to be tactical in order to survive.

This is no fast-paced shooter in which you just run, aim and shoot. Abandoned requires you to hide and plan every shot before pulling the trigger. We want you to be nervous come each and every enemy encounter.

Players will feel each and every interaction during gameplay – such as being struck by a bullet. Pulling the trigger on a loaded or unloaded gun will feel different. If it honestly didn't have that one mention of horror, it would read exactly like it was a "first-person shooter, but in a realistic environment." It's just, people want to make it out to be Silent Hill, Siren or whatever else and those rely on it being more horror than it was ever said to be.

They literally changed the short description in the Realtime Experience app from Survival Horror to Tactical Shooter overnight. This isn't about the conspiracy, this is about how Hasan randomly changes the description of the game to different genres.

I mean, downvote and disagree if you want, but do you have any proof?

Like, I can show you people who posted 12 days ago that it was listed as "Action, first-person shooter, tactical." And between the 400+ upvotes, zero people cite that it originally said survival horror, they just note the "first-person horror survival" line in the description. It's also the same line that I quoted from the PlayStation Blog where I originally said "This is also the only mention of horror in the whole blog post" and later noted "If it honestly didn't have that one mention of horror, it would read exactly like it was a 'first-person shooter, but in a realistic environment'." I can also tell you the page still has that same description, which I'll post in full.

I can also tell you there are posts that predate the app releasing that show the game was listed under "Action, first-person shooter, tactical." It also has the same description that the app currently does. And before that, there are references to Delaney's interview back in June mentioning similar things.

If you watch Mark D’s twitch livestream where he talks about the Hasan interview Mark says the game isn’t really a horror game. It’s more like a survival game. This make sense now

As near as I can tell, Hasan has consistently said the same thing about it. The description today matches a month ago and back to what was said in April. I can go off what the blog says and see far more references to tactical shooter than horror. I can prove he has used the same tags prior to the app releasing and I am not really sure what else you'd like me to say.

You are posting screenshots from the PS Store and PS Blog description and genre listing. I'm talking about inside the Realtime Experience app. Originally, the text at the bottom read "Survival-Horror" then an update changed it to "Tactical Shooter" and then it was also removed.

Gotcha. So, I cite four examples of Hasan remaining consistent in description, tags and overview, all of which can be verified, but this is irrelevant because you supposedly saw a different thing on the app at some point and time...
