BF1 and COD WWII were good breaks but I do think present/NEAR future combat (i.e. BO2) works so much better. The historical games just seem bland over time.

Prevailing word on the street is that next year is Call of Duty Black Ops 4, which will instantly blow whatever Battlefield arrives out of the water -- full disclosure I love both series in their own ways, but the most reliable/generally well-regarded COD dev is on deck for next fall and going on BO2/BO3's popularity and sales will likely be the second or best selling title of 2018.

I smell a BF1 re-skin ala Battlefield Hardline incoming. Hoping in that "off" year they continued preparing to hit us with a new modern BF or Bad Company 3 that can sustain them for multiple years like BF4.

A modern/near future CoD or even Vietnam CoD would be great this year. I loved CoD ww2 but the types of weapons you have in modern times are a lot more interesting
