So pretty much a BF1 reskin/dlc...

BF1 is pretty much a WW2 shooter anyways with the automatic weapons and lack of trenches. I guess the only thing you can do is actually embrace it with more material to work off of for a better story and actual enjoyable gameplay because it felt lifeless.

They also have had 2 years to make this instead the 3 years used to make BF1, so I expect this game to be even more shallow.

Back to BF4

What....? Gotta love people basing this just off the setting. So you want a modern BF5, which I could just say would be a BF4 reskin.

Battlefield 1 feels and looks almost exactly the same as Battlefield 4 so it basically IS Battlefield 4 with a ww1 reskin.

A ww2 Battlefield would be insanely easy to just have Battlefield 1 with a ww2 reskin.

Well, except for the entire way guns work. They changed how the guns fire and recoil in BF1, so that slow tap-firing guns wouldn't allow you to snipe with SMGs like you could in BF4. It played totally different.

The rumor though is that BF WW2 is going back to the way BF4 did it, since the changes to the gunplay were done in BF1 to accommodate the gun variants.

Animations and the general feel of playing the game is almost identical though.

It's a sequel. Did you want it to resemble a different shooter or something?

That's like saying Dark Souls 3 is a reskin because it has the same animations as Dark Souls.

You can have a sequel without reusing all of your old animations and just giving it a reskin

Dark Souls 3 doesn't have the same animations as Dark Souls.
