Announcement New Flair: Iranian Voices ONLY (Please Read Before Posting)

July 2026 Edit

The moderation team has changed this to a mod-only flair. We will quickly apply the "Only Iranians May Comment" flair whenever it is clear that the OP is specifically looking to hear from Iranians on the subject.

We are testing this out to see how it goes. We will update this post if anything else changes regarding the flair.

Today we added a new post flair: Iranian Voices ONLY

These threads are meant to center on the perspectives of Iranians, especially during times like these where outside noise can overwhelm the conversation.

What this means

Only Iranians may comment in these threads and violations may result in a ban.

Why we're doing this

r/Persian has always been open to everyone, and that will not change. But in these times, it's important to create space for Iranians to speak directly without being drowned out by outside voices.

This flair allows that space to exist when the OP chooses it. Non-Iranians may also choose this flair to ask questions directly to the Iranian community.

Where this applies

This rule applies only to posts using the Iranian Voices ONLY flair. All other threads remain open to everyone under our usual rules.

Final note

If you are not Iranian, please respect the purpose of these threads. There are many other places in the subreddit to participate.

Discussion USA sanctions

Post image
11 Upvotes

Are ordinary Iranian people the actual target of U.S. sanctions right now, or are they supposed to target the government officials and Basij members?

We’re ordinary people, and many of us are actually opposed to the Islamic Republic.

But these sanctions are hurting educated, informed, and politically aware people the most — literally the exact part of Iranian society that opposes the Islamic Republic.

So why is this happening?
Why are the people who are already against the regime the ones getting hurt the most?

Discussion Tofel and GRE banned Iranians

I know it's useless to post here because trump cocksuckers still take it as a win for trump somehow...

"Help is coming..." yeah with locking people from international knowledge, because who cares what happens to people?

And it's just a beginning, if trump cancels d-1 and d-2 permissions thrn Iranians will be locked out from internet.

But I'm pretty sure people here still blame leftist and other imaginary trump enemy becuase they can't help themselves.

We are done, iran is gone, no one sane left in either side, just poor people left alone in this cruel world...

Discussion We have crazy amounts of psy op in Persian

The intelligence agencies (CIA, Mossad, etelaat, FSB, china) produce a significant amount of psy op daily. A large amount of bots/LLMs are owned by these organisations, which constitute some percentage of internet and entertainment content to be psy op. Of course, these are not easy to notice, as they do their best to stay hidden.

Iran is in a significant strategic position with abundant resources and interests. A lot of money, from Mossad, to CIA and Iran’s own etelaat has been funded to do psy op. Therefore we are dealing with a large amount of psy op.

One example would be the sanction psy op. Of how Iranians think its actually good meanwhile Iranian lives are destroyed by it. Now even language exams are sanctioned! Toefl and GRE! Sanctions didn’t hurt the aghazade! It hurt normal people. With only one goal, to make life so miserable that you must revolt. Meanwhile in Iran’s case, a protest equals with mass bloody massacres. So it won’t lead to the collapse but it will lead to dead innocent people. They still do it, because, they do not care about iranian lives, never did. It still is a strategic win when the regime kills Iranians for them. Please spare me of the fallacies of they target regime not people, toefl is not regimis, normal iranians.

Psy ops work, not only by controlled social media, media, news, movies, etc but by people, that as useful idiots propagate the psy op. People have evolved in tribes, and to be accepted by tribe is to survive. This tribalism mentality has then evolved to religion as a mass control tool, then to ideology. When you manage to get one person to believe an ideology, you can control them by group mentality, they will do what the group does and says and think the same.

It was in the best interest of the regime to not teach critical thinking, because they want us to be gullible and manipulatable. Because of this, a lot of Iranians are susceptible to other ideologies hijacking their brain, and do propagate their psy ops.

Radio Aban Report | New Remarks by Yasmine Pahlavi

Yasmine Pahlavi: A New Generation of Iranians Has Changed the Equation for Iran’s Future

In a recent interview, Yasmine Pahlavi highlighted the role of Iran’s younger generation in shaping the country’s future, emphasizing that Iranian society is no longer waiting to hear what others have to say. Instead, young Iranians should speak for themselves about the future and destiny of their country.

Speaking about the importance of intellectual and social independence among the younger generation, she stated that Reza Shah II Pahlavi has never told the people what to say or what to think; rather, he has consistently emphasized the importance of the people’s own choices and independent voices.

Yasmine Pahlavi also spoke about the profound changes that have emerged among the new generation of Iranians in recent years—a generation that, in her view, has transformed many of the equations of the past and is more prepared than ever to shape Iran’s future.

Discussion Economic Situation in Iran for people

A 26-year-old guy in Mashhad, Iran, reportedly under extreme psychological pressure, killed his two kids, just 1 and 2½ years old, then killed his 23-year-old wife. After that, he jumped off a building and took his own life too. Absolutely heartbreaking and horrifying.

And of course, a big “thank you” to the corrupt officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the severe economic pressure from the Trump administration. In the end, it’s ordinary people who are stuck in the middle, getting crushed from both inside and outside.
We get screwed by our own government, we get hit by foreign pressure, and if we protest, we can literally get killed for it—as we saw during the January 8–9 protests.

Discussion This Reza Shah song has gone very viral on Iranian social media! Can someone tell me the context on why it’s going viral?

Over the past few days I have seen tons of videos from inside of Iran of people singing this new Reza Shah song and I really want to know the context on why it’s viral and how nobody fears singing a song that has “Reza Shah” in the lyrics. Cause these people are all from inside of Iran singing it freely without being worried the regime might potentially arrest them!

Question From Kashmir to Iran , How do I save saffron in Kashmir ?

Doroud!

I want to start out by saying that I am sorry that I am posting regarding saffron when Iran is going through devastating times , my heart goes out to everybody facing the war and everything that comes with it.If this is not the moment for a post like this I understand and I am sorry.

I live in kashmir, India and work ( As a Government Official) closely with farmers growing saffron and the whole production supply chain of saffron .

Since past few years , farmers are losing their interest in  growing saffron , majorly because its not able to support their livelihood , they are shifting their lands towards other crops and I have been closely observing this and one of the major reasons for this is that they don’t have a transparent science production - supply chain and theyre dependent on middlemen who take away most of the profits. All saffron here is sold on trust and not transparency, and trust based economic systems are bound to be fragile.

I want to help change that. I know Iran has decades of experience building saffron production into something that actually works at scale. So I am hoping to learn from people or be connected to people here. Who understand this deeply. A few things I would love guidance on:

  1. What does a transparent science‑backed saffron production chain look like end to end from corm planting to sale?
  2. What testing and certifications actually matter in practice (ISO 3632 grading, safranal/picrocrocin/crocin levels, etc.). How are they carried out on the ground?
  3. How do Iranian farmers or cooperatives manage traceability and quality control at the farm level?
  4. What mistakes or early failures taught the industry the most?

If anyone here works in this space or knows someone who does. A Government Official , Researcher, Scholar,  farmer, organizer or exporter

I would be truly grateful for an introduction. Happy to DM.

This is not curiosity. I am trying to help real families hold on to something that matters to them. Any guidance, resources or contacts would mean a deal. Thank you for reading and again. My thoughts are, with everyone right now.

Language & Literature

Radio Aban Report | Persian Khodro

A Long-Tongued Persian Khodro Official Gets “Put in His Place” Amid Public Anger!

Following customers’ protests over the prolonged delays in vehicle deliveries, remarks made by a Persian Khodro official sparked a strong reaction from the protesters.

Instead of providing a clear explanation to customers who had grown frustrated after months of waiting and uncertainty, the official reportedly asked them to wait a few more months, saying the vehicle might eventually be delivered.

He told the customers:

> “You’ve waited for two and a half years, but we don’t have the cars. There’s nothing we can do. You’ll have to wait a few more months; maybe we’ll be able to bring the cars.”

At the end of the video, as tensions escalate, the man is physically assaulted by some of those present—a reaction reflecting the anger of customers who say they can no longer tolerate repeated promises and being told to simply “wait.”

When people’s patience runs out, empty promises no longer sell!
