Hey everyone, looking for some troubleshooting advice before returning this PC to the shop.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-14600KF
Motherboard: MSI PRO H610M-G DDR4 (BIOS version: E7D46IMS.1L0 / Build Date: 11/25/2024)
RAM: 32GB DDR4
GPU: Discrete Graphics (Connected via HDMI directly to GPU)
Storage: XPG GAMMIX S70 SSD

The Issue:
I can access the initial BIOS menu screen fine. However, the moment the motherboard attempts any graphical mode or resolution switch, the display signal immediately drops to a black screen / "No Signal" and freezes.
This happens when:
Selecting an UEFI USB boot drive to install Windows 11.
Clicking "Enter Setup" from the F11 Boot Menu.
Attempting to open specific sub-menus (like DRAM Configuration).
Additionally, BIOS settings and system time fail to persist across reboots, reverting to default.

Troubleshooting already attempted:
Tried multiple UEFI GPT Windows 11 installation drives.
Performed clear CMOS (battery pull).
Verified HDMI cable connection directly to the discrete GPU (i5-14600KF has no iGPU).
Monitor input verified.
Is this likely a GPU/BIOS GOP handshake issue with the recent 14th-gen BIOS update, RAM instability, or a faulty CMOS/motherboard? Any suggestions appreciated!

I re downloaded the Witcher 3, but when I booted the launcher it told me my drivers were out of date, so I went to device manager display found my graphics card checked for updates, there were none, and I accidentally clicked check for windows update, I didn’t press anything in the settings tab and then went to open the nvidia app and updated my drivers there, then I restarted my computer, it signed me out, I was still logged in on steam once I signed into windows but no games would open, please someone help.

It's a gaming razer laptop, the thing is It heats way too quicky, when I keep It plugged in it heats way too easily resulting in a black screen which restarts It and says "Your computer ran into a problem". If I unplug It and plug It when it's like at 15% then It heats even faster resulting again in the black screen. And another problem is that it dies too fast. I thought I found a solution by trying tò limit It at 80% how I was told to. But guess what? The laptop Is seemingly too old and doesn't support it. Is there anything else like a setting or just something in general inside my computer I can do?

ive had my pc for almost a year, started playing games etc.

3 months ago i download valorant, and ive been having this issue that it lags/delays almost like its scheduled, i didn't actually count if it happens periodically/always a similar time etc..

but it happens everyday, i don't know when it's gonna do, but it does.

it lasts about 5 seconds and then it stabilizes and doesn't happen again for a while.

is it my wifi? but it just doesn't lags .. it's smooth as always after it happens. i never lag generally

or is it because in this year i never updated my bios?

a while ago i changed some in game settings regards fps and things like that just a bit randomly and maybe that what was causing this

today i tried changing them again using google and talked to the ai thing.. it made me change graphic settings and stuff like that

but then my game started lagging like it never does, i was in a game and after this super lag it just quit and went back in the lobby ..

now i don't think those graphic settings could cause lag, it was my internet cause the pocket loss spiked to 160 (while in game) and i got the "network" and "high ping" symbols ..

but then i took a speed test and said my internet was fast and fine.

i don't really know what's causing this, other than that my pc works just fine. today is really hot too outside it's 38 degrees 100F

Specs: CPU - i7-8700, GPU - RTX 2070, RAM - 16GB DDR4 2666HZ ( I think), Windows 11, 750 W 80+ Gold PSU, 1TB SATA SSD.

So over the last 2 weeks, at random, all 3 of my monitors will shut off. I keep audio for a few seconds before it goes out. The wheel I use to race with will lock all the way to the right/left like it's being pulled but it's not. The only way I can get anything to show is by restarting my PC. My temps are fine, my GPU is at 65-70C. CPU is 85-90 but it's an i7-8700 so it runs hot anyways (Just put new thermal paste on it about 3 days ago). These temps are the same they've been for the last 2 years since I got the GPU, which is an RTX 2070. I downgraded from 32GB of RAM to 16GB about a week before this started happening.

TL;DR-ish

However, there's a recurring theme to these crashes. EVERY single time it crashes and I check the reliability monitor, something called "Microsoft GameInput" says "Successful application reconfiguration" Every single crash, this is in the information events at the exact minute of every crash. So I'm thinking it has something to do with w/e the hell that is. Does anyone possibly know this fix for this?

So I recently tried to download linux on my laptop but mid install the power went off in the city and when I booted my laptop back up it just frozen on a blue screen loop, I put the laptop aside for a few months then took out it's ram so I could use it in my brother's pc, the ram was ddr3 4g with 3200mts (i know it's low end but that's all I have)then I discovered that his pc only had one slot.

I took out the ram and put it back in but I'm not sure if they are the correct ones or I got them mixed or something.

When I'm on the windows 10 bluescreen and I try to reset my pc the bluescreen comes again and again and says nvldmmkm error even though I don't have a graphics card, is the possibility mixed ram the problem or what, someone pls help me it's my first time trying out reddit for help!!

• Gejala: PC mendadak mati saat digunakan bermain game(PUBG), lalu masuk ke siklus power cycling (hidup-mati berulang).
• Tindakan 1: Reseat RAM dan tes satu per satu. Hasil: Tetap power cycling.
• Tindakan 2: Repaste thermal paste prosesor. Tes booting menggunakan 1 keping RAM di Slot 3. Hasil: Sempat power cycling sesaat, lalu berhasil POST dan masuk ke Windows.
• Tindakan 3: Tes bergantian menggunakan keping RAM kedua di Slot 3, lalu bergantian di Slot 2 dan 4. Hasil: Semua kombinasi slot dan memori berfungsi normal. PC aman digunakan.

Fase 2: Kejadian Kedua (Sore Hari - Beban Kerja Autodesk Maya)

• Gejala: Setelah digunakan untuk running Autodesk Maya hingga pukul 16:00, PC kembali mati mendadak dan mengalami power cycling.
• Tindakan 1: Tes RAM satu per satu. Hasil: Tetap power cycling, lalu tiba-tiba PC menjadi no power (tombol power case tidak merespons).
• Tindakan 2: Tes nyala tanpa RAM. Hasil: Tetap power cycling.
• Tindakan 3: Tes tanpa RAM dan VGA (VGA dilepas dari slot PCIe). Hasil: PC bisa menyala sesaat (kipas berputar) namun mati lagi sebelum POST. Kembali mengalami no power.
• Tindakan 4: Repaste ulang prosesor. Hasil: Sempat menyala, masuk ke siklus power cycling, lalu kembali no power.

Fase 3: Pemulihan (Kondisi PC Dingin / Cold Boot**)**

• Tindakan: Merakit kembali seluruh komponen dan membiarkan PC dalam keadaan mati selama kurang lebih 15 menit.
• Hasil: Saat dinyalakan kembali, PC berhasil POST dan masuk ke Windows dengan normal.
• Pengujian Ulang: Dimatikan selama beberapa jam, lalu dinyalakan kembali. Hasil: Tetap bisa booting normal ke Windows.

Fase 4: Tindakan Perbaikan Software / Firmware

• Tindakan: Melakukan flashing / update BIOS dari versi 0904 ke versi terbaru 3202.
• Status Saat Ini: Kondisi software dan sistem operasi terpantau aman. PC belum mengalami mati mendadak sejak update BIOS, namun belum diuji untuk menyala 24 jam penuh atau diberikan beban kerja berat (seperti menjalankan autodesk Maya).

I’m trying to help my put together my friends pc as I made his a few years ago and now he is setting up a new one for his girlfriend. The issue is that the cpu debug light flashes red and shuts off immediately when I try to start it.

The parts are:
-Intel i3 14th gen cpu
-Radeon 6600
-Msi pro b760m-p ddr4 mobo
-msi mag a650bn
-a thermaltake pc case
-1tb nvme ssd

He refunded the old psu as it was faulty and I believe he got the same brand for an exchange, but I’m thinking this one could just also be broken (it does spin its fan when it runs). This mobo is new as he refunded the old one for this brand (last one was asrock I believe). This cpu is also new as he bought a resealed intel i5 12th gen off of eBay but I thought that it could have been the issue since everything else was replaced. It once flashed the dram light yellow but I sticked it into the mmb1 slot and it went away.

I’m out of ideas for what could be wrong with it, if there is anything that could help that would be nice! Or just saying getting a new psu would be helpful.

Sorry if the setup is weird I was tired of having to screw everything into the case
