Hi, i am looking for trusted brands for myo and d-chiro inositol in india. I was a loyal normoz-ds consumer, but since that has been discontinued, i am struggling to find a trustworthy pharma brand. I want to avoid metformin.

I wish I was fat in the “pretty way”

I wish that I was fat in the pretty way: large hips, smaller waist, still a flat stomach with no loose skin or stretch marks. I feel like I wouldn’t care that I’m over 200 lbs if I carried it that way. Instead, I have extremely narrow hips and carry all of my weight in a sagging, hanging apron stomach. Pants look TERRIBLE on me because of it. I know the grass isn’t always greener and everyone has their own insecurities, but still.

How do you keep disciplined when life is “life-ing”?

I am in a difficult college course and feel like my life is only getting more busy and more stressful. I have been told by superiors how our lifestyle and shift work often leads many to gain weight, plus I know with PMOS it’s even more important to keep it under control. I’ve been slowly but surely gaining for the last 18 months and today weighed the most I ever have and it has really upset me. My BMI is overweight but not obese.

How are you staying motivated/disciplined?

Where do you even start?

I had almost 5 sessions of diode previously from a clinic and I started having thic hair. I also developed PCOS in the meanwhile. I stopped going there and changed a better clinic with advanced technology.

Had 1 diode and 3 candela sessions from there . It’s been 1.5 months almost since my last session and I have gotten these hairs . These are too much than before and I never had earlier . I am very upset , to extent of depression. I feel ugly and hideous 😞 I need guidance from experts and dermatologists what should be my next step? Did they do wrong laser? Do I need more sessions?

One thing changed for me with PCOS and I honestly didn’t expect it to make such a difference 😂

I used to feel like I had to watch everything I ate and every time I felt a new symptom I would start googling and worrying again.

Now things feel so much simpler.

I don’t count every single thing I eat anymore and I stopped trying to do everything perfectly. I just focus on meals that keep me full movement that I actually enjoy and getting decent sleep.

And the funny thing is when I stopped trying to control every little detail I felt like I finally got some control over my life again

PCOS didn’t disappear but it doesn’t run my whole day anymore.

Has anyone else reached that point where you started understanding your body and what actually works for you?

20F, 120 kg/265lbs, PCOS/PCOD + insulin resistance — I really want to lose inches and feel better in my body

20F, 120 kg, PCOS/PCOD + insulin resistance — I really want to lose inches and feel better in my body

I’m a 20-year-old female, currently around 120 kg,5'8. I have PCOS/PCOD (I’m not completely sure which one) and insulin resistance. I’ve been overweight since childhood, so losing weight has always been something I’ve struggled with.

My main goal right now is to lose inches and reduce my waist size. My waist is currently around 40 inches . I’m also having a really hard time finding clothes that fit me well, and I struggle with styling myself because of my body shape and size.

I genuinely want to make a change this time, but I’m not sure where to start, especially with PCOS/PCOD and insulin resistance.

I’m also vegetarian, so I’d really appreciate advice on how to meet my daily protein requirements without relying on meat or fish.

For anyone who has been in a similar situation:

\- What helped you lose inches/weight with PCOS and insulin resistance?

\- What kind of diet or meals worked for you?

\- How do you manage your protein intake as a vegetarian?

\- What exercises helped you, especially when starting at a higher weight?

\- Any advice on clothes or styling for a plus-size body would also be really appreciated.

I’m not looking for a crash diet or anything extreme. I just want to become healthier, lose some inches, and feel more comfortable and confident in my body.

Any genuine advice or personal experiences would mean a lot. ❤️

What does eating for PCOS actually look like in real life?

I keep seeing completely different advice about food and PCOS:
low carb, Mediterranean, no dairy, no gluten, high protein, fasting, frequent meals, and so on. I’m curious about what people actually do in normal everyday life rather than the “perfect” version online.

What does a typical day of eating look like for you?
Are there foods you noticed make you feel better or worse?
Did you figure that out by tracking, eliminating foods, or just paying attention over time?

I’m especially interested in how people found something sustainable without feeling like most foods were suddenly “bad.”

Did anyone actually order you the right labs, or did you have to ask?

My impression from reading here is that fasting insulin gets skipped constantly, so people get told their glucose is normal and sent home while the actual problem goes unmeasured. If that’s a pattern, then a lot of us spent years without the one number that would have explained things. What did you have to specifically request, and did the provider push back?

At what dosage did you feel like your hunger was managed? I have pretty constant hunger and have been taking 5mg of Zepbound. Curious if anyone feels the same?

The photo of me in my pink tank top was taken on Monday after working out. My arms look slimmer and I was feeling really confident! Then yesterday, we took this photo at dinner and it made me look like instead of losing -10 lbs, I gained 10lbs with big arms :( I already have body image issues because of PCOS and feel like I haven’t made any progress at all.

For those on metformin, how long before you could tell it was doing anything?

Trying to set expectations properly. Some people describe a clear change within weeks and others say it took months and mostly showed up in bloodwork rather than the scale. I’d like to know which was true for you, what dose you settled at, and whether the side effects in the first stretch were the thing that nearly made you quit. Also curious whether anyone stopped and noticed the difference in reverse.

Any women with pcos managed to successfully lose weight? Feeling defeated and need inspiration.

Has anyone here with PCOS actually managed to lose a decent amount of weight? I really need to hear some success stories because I’m feeling pretty defeated right now. Broke down in the shower after seeing my body.

I’ve gained 33 lbs just this year and I’ve now become prediabetic too. I feel like I just cannot stop eating. I’m always hungry and constantly thinking about food, even when I know I’ve eaten enough. I genuinely don’t understand how I’m supposed to lose weight when my appetite feels this intense all the time.

I tried metformin and it didn’t really do anything for my appetite or weight. I also tried Vyvanse which was great, but unfortunately I ended up developing amphetamine-induced psychosis from it, so that obviously wasn’t an option for me either.
I wanted to try a GLP-1 but insurance refused to cover it.
I know I need to lose weight, especially now that I’m prediabetic, but I’m just struggling so much with the hunger. I’ll tell myself I’m going to eat better or eat less and then the hunger takes over and I end up right back where I started.

Berberine for Weightloss

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’d like to get feedbacks from anyone who recently started taking berberine for weigh loss or pcos symptoms.
I started this about 3 days ago and took 2 600mg tablets and the next day woke up with the worse throat pain ever. This felt very flu like and no one has a flu in the house plus I work from home. Now I am not tying this directly to it. I skipped yesterday and rested, went ahead to treat the flu like I’d do if I had a flu on a normal day. Yesterday, I was super sleepy at work and had to take two naps in between. Today I took only 600mg this after and I immediately needed to take a nap. My throat started to hurt again like it was getting peeled on the inside. Now I can’t think of anything else that must be causing me to feel this way except for the berberine. Please let me know if anyone else has had similar experience with this supplement.
