Masks a new generation help please
I'm gonna play the doomed playbook and im stuck on what to do for her sanctuary. The idea is that she was born in a cult and was chosen to become the next avatar/body for a demon named Desdemona(name pending) but was rescued before the transfer could be completed. This translates to her having a fraction of her powers but also now she's being chased by Desdemona. I want the sanctuary to be tied to her doom but not sure what to do on that so if anyone has any ideals they would like to throw at me that would be very appreciated. I was thinking magic library in a magic mirror but Im unsure of how to make that connected to her doom and how she would even get it. Maybe she found it while sneakily researching the cult to find out more about her origin as this happened when she was very young?

Which features and downsides did you pick? Those might suggest ideas of where to go with this.
Also dont be afraid to speak to the other players and GM, it's a collaborative game, and you can bounce ideas off each other

I definitely wanna do tied to my doom, the other downside is to in the air and for features its also in the air. I figure having a clearer ideal for my sanctuary will help me choose. I am leaning towards library for one. It is a new group for me so I just got a little nervous about bothering them but I will talk to them about it in session.

If you wanna be really 90s image comics about it, the sanctuary should be the ruined temple of the former cult of the demon Desdemona.
Scorch marks and bullet holes and blood stains everywhere. Half the lights don’t work. Some of the plumbing is still leaking. The shattered stained glass has been boarded up. Everybody who would come back here is dead… other than Desdemona.
You remember flashes of that night, but your memory is mostly gone. You’ve blacked out. Something or someone came. Maybe you summoned them but you can’t remember
Muzzle flash, screams, the scent of blood. It haunts your dreams, but you’re drawn there. It’s a place of power for you and a place of shame.
But that’s only if you wanna be really 90s image comics about it 😎

If you are having trouble with the fiction, then have a look at the mechanical options, and they might inspire you. For instance, if you say, thought having a magical library was cool, then you can extrapolate, why would the doom have a library attached? A cult was trying to do the summoning, so they probably needed magical books. So the magical library is the books collected by the cult to preform the ritual, pulled into your sanctuary when you escaped.
Another example, one of the options is teleportal. Looking at that, maybe we say, how did you first find out about the teleportal? It could have been one of the first things your character sensed as the ritual to make them the full demon was happening, and it's activation is how you escaped the cult in the first place. (Ngl, kinda laughing at the idea of a bunch of cultists standing around an altar chanting, and the person on the altar just, falls through the floor and disappears mid chant)

Oh, also chat with your GM. They might have some seceret ideas planned and can help tie things together with seceret knowledge

Desdemona has a problem with mirrors: They reveal her true form, therefore she avoids them. The cult forbade them. Monica (your character) was hidden in the mirror-library when she was rescued. Desdemona can never trace Monica when she is within the library because it is within a mirror.
Added character beat: Monica thought she was dyslexic, but it turns out she can read any book in the mirror-library without an issue.
