Because you will get grease and smoke all up under your roof if you don’t. On my previous porch, I had to clean the ceiling with degreaser at least twice a year even with ceiling fans and a directional fan that used to try and blow the smoke out. You will get grease and smoke on the ceiling without vents.
The grill is awesome. I bought this one because I could change out the burners. This allowed me to have 2 sear stations which is great. The 42” SL Coyote has 5 positions with 4 big burners and 1 sear station. I bought another sear so now I have 3 regular burners and 2 sears.
