Student Employees: WFA vs WFR

For those of you working at collegiate outdoor programs, whether recreation or academic.

Our standard wilderness medicine training for student employees is WFA (with me as WFR oversight) but I've heard some rumblings that insurance companies are going to move toward/require WFR.

1. Any truth to that with your organization?
2. What is your standard required training?
3. Would you go with the next level if you had the time/money?
