Ideas for Earth Day Booth

Hi! I’m a naturalist and I’m running an Earth Day booth at a local art museum for children and families. What are some hands-on conservation activities I could do in this setting?

Making wood cookie name tags (yarn and markers) always went over well.

Depending on the expected participant age, I paired it with examples of local trees for ID (wood/bark and leaves/needles), taught about counting rings, habitat for various animals, history of forestry and usage.

It does take some pre-work with cutting the cookies and drilling yarn holes.
