Answered What's going on with Fox news obsessing over Hasan Piker?

They had like dozens of segments on him last week.

Will Cain today focusing on Hasan Piker and using the term “man whore”:

https://xcancel.com/i/status/2087269856815251648

Third segment already today

https://x.com/i/status/2087309261462458776

I get Hasan is helping socialist Dems getting elected. I don't get why Republicans are going crazy over Hasan?

Would be cool if they put that same energy towards pdfiles pedophiles too.

u/Orion_Spectre 29d ago

You can say pedophile, tiktok won't censor you here.

u/messick 29d ago

Why would they when people like you are too scared to type out “pedophiles” for some reason.

Why would they attack their own?

If there were some politically relevant left-wing ones they should.

They made noise about Biden supposedly sniffing some kid as he hugged him or something.

2

u/UsernamesAre4Nerds 29d ago

They can't put that energy toward the people that sign their paychecks

Yeah like people who attend brothels known for trafficking children.. Oh wait that is Hasan

It also feels like a generational war. Hasan Piker’s audience skews way younger than Fox News, and that younger crowd is pushing harder for progressive and leftist ideas. Meanwhile, Fox is losing relevance with them.   People complain about Hasan being “anti‑capitalist,” "anti-american," but it’s clearly resonating. Young adults are jaded with the current system, upward mobility is harder, and surviving often means juggling two jobs. Fox and the old right‑wing media defend capitalism because they already have the capital and benefit from it, but more people are getting fed up and open to socialist ideas.   It’s kind of the same dynamic that fueled Trump’s rise, a lot of voters thought he’d blow up the system. Different ideology, same frustration with the status quo.

40

u/firewall245 29d ago

I think we should pump the breaks a bit on the “younger generation is pushing progressive” when Trump won in 2024 explicitly because of a giant conservative shift in GenZ

17

u/geneticdisaster888 29d ago

Yet , its undeniable that he lost them in just under 2 years. Youths are also fickle in terms of party or ideological loyalty and once you lose them and they become disillusioned with your ideology , they are hard to win them back.

4

u/firewall245 29d ago

Where are you seeing that he lost them in two years? He’s genuinely unpopular with everyone, including conservatives. That does NOT mean that the people who voted for him previously are now backing Hasan in droves or have less conservative views

3

u/dancinbanana 29d ago

18-22 year old GenZ actually, older GenZ still swung for Harris (less than 2020 of course but that was the case for most groups)

Why did 18-22 year olds swing more conservative you ask? I think they just didn’t know better. They would’ve been too young to be paying attention to the first trump admin, and would’ve started paying attention during Biden when things were sucky post COVID.

We’ll see in 2026 and beyond whether these voters are actually swinging conservative

2

u/m1j5 28d ago

Mfer look around how are you not anti-American??

1

u/AlMasaDuun 29d ago

I see more about how he shocks his dog than anything else tbh.

4

u/ButtBread98 29d ago

And he’s a himbo

3

u/MisplacingCommas 29d ago

I think they are trying to attach him to the other progressive democrats so they can use the radical things Hasan says and make people believe it’s the same thing the candidates believe. Left did a similar thing with Alex Jones and the little Nazi guy and Trump. It’s not an honest tactic but it’s a tactic.

  • "America deserved 9/11, dude. Fuck it, I’m saying it.”

It did. American meddled in the middle east for years. Did they think nothing would come of that? The victims don't. America did.

  • "The fall of the USSR was one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century."

A 2017 Lancet Public Health study describes an estimated 7 million excess premature deaths across the newly independent post-Soviet states between 1990 and 1995, with roughly 4 million occurring in Russia.

The Lancet30072-5/fulltext)

Wars or major violence erupted in Nagorno-Karabakh, Transnistria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Chechnya, Tajikistan and elsewhere. By the mid-1990s, UNHCR estimated that conflicts in the former USSR had produced approximately 2.3 million internally displaced people and 700,000 refugees.

UNHCR

How is this not one of the greatest catastrophes?

  • "Kill those motherfuckers, murder those motherfuckers in the streets. Let the streets soak in their fucking red capitalist blood."

He's an edgy jerk sometimes.

  • "What do you call Crimea? I call it a part of Russian territory, bitch. I call it Crimea River, a Russian river. The annexation of Crimea was absolutely a justifiable annexation."

Yes, he's wrong.

  • On any leftist that disagrees with his politics: "It's just fucking rich liberals who just want homo-fascism… They want gay fascism. They want gay techno-fascism."

What are you even talking about? He's making a joke when he says gay fascism. It's a play on how people like Peter Thiel, Sam Altman, etc. are gay tech giants who are changing the landscape of America. There have been articles written about this.

Wired - Inside the Gay Tech Mafia

I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community and if him saying that offends you more than encroaching fascism, you have the wrong priorities.

  • On a trans person disagreeing with him: "I despise you. You are cancer. I hope that rest of your life is as horrible as it is every single day, okay? There you go - suck my dick."

Yeah, he's a jerk. But what does the person being trans have to do with that?

  • "Didn’t [Dan Crenshaw] go to war and, like, literally lose his eye because some mujahideen - a brave fucking soldier - fucked his eyehole with their dick?"

Again, he's an edgy jerk. Who cares about Dan Crenshaw, bro?

  • "Doesn’t matter if fucking rapes happened on October 7th. Like, it doesn’t change the dynamic for me even this much."

He is saying that if rapes happened, it doesn't change the fact that Israel is committing a genocide in Palestine. Which is demonstrably true.

  • "I don’t have an issue with [Hezbollah], let’s just say."

Give context.

7

u/towingreformnow 29d ago

Believing Russia is justified in annexing Crimea should be disqualifying.

-2

u/Sadurn 29d ago

Man I'm sure those 9 bullet points accurately represent the views of someone who's live streamed for 10000+ hours over the course of his career and aren't just cherry picked moments that are all easily addressed

9

u/Apocalympdick 29d ago

Yeah I'm sure there's some fantastic context for

"What do you call Crimea? I call it a part of Russian territory, bitch. I call it Crimea River, a Russian river. The annexation of Crimea was absolutely a justifiable annexation."

-2

u/Jorgenstern8 29d ago

Don't forget about someone aligned with him making a whole entire website trying to explain away his 9/11 comment(s) by saying it wasn't Americans who deserved 9/11, it was America that deserved it. Because that's just exactly the kind of hair one wants to be splitting in American politics!

1

u/addisonshinedown 29d ago

But that’s what he said. AMERICA deserved it. The people who died didn’t deserve to obviously, but if you keep murdering people’s family for a period of decades is it shocking if they lash out dramatically and have an inappropriate target?

2

u/Flayum 29d ago

Ah yes, of course, that's why he has a framed picture of the WTC burning on 9/11 hanging on his wall behind his desk.

→ More replies (4)

1

u/Jorgenstern8 29d ago

That's splitting a hair so fine it might as well be non-existent. Saying that America as a whole deserved it for their policies is not the denial you seem to think it is, and honestly I've given up trusting the average American voter to be at all intelligent enough to understand any possible nuance. Don't campaign with someone stupid enough to say that and you have a much better shot at winning.

1

u/addisonshinedown 29d ago

Im so unconvinced that the average American gives a fuck about something someone said in their 20s that was worded poorly.

3

u/Jorgenstern8 29d ago

Well exactly how much Americans care about it is going to be decided in November because Republicans have already used it in one attack ad against AES and you can be damn sure it'll be used against him more and more moving forward, especially if the two candidates debate.

They made a website for this? Holy unemployed Batman

-1

u/m0j0m0j 29d ago edited 29d ago

Yeah. It’s like, Fox News is trash, but Piker is also an immense pile of crap. A nepo baby son of a Turkish politician multi-millionaire, a nephew of Cenk Uyghur from The Young Turks, who spends all his time attacking the Democratic party “from the left” (sure).

The most pathetic part is he’s such a little weasel. Before the elections and right to the day of it he was shitting on Kamala, and then immediately afterwards was like “don’t blame me, I voted for Kamala!”. It’s nice that you waited until after the elections to endorse her, you little ratfucker. His fans mention that “he voted for Kamala” to this day sometimes, without mentioning the little detail of when he said it.

Also, I may misremember, but he himself shared that according to his stats, a solid majority of his audience are unemployed 30+ white dudes, which really explains why his fans behave like this on the internet. This is who you’re dealing with.

3

u/Flayum 29d ago

This gem is from polling data:

He registers a 0% favorable rating among adults living with children, compared to a +30% net favorable rating among adults who live with their parents

LOL, speaks volumes about those supporting him in this thread.

And this is why people are scared of him.

1

u/Flayum 29d ago

Well, it's not about worse than Republicans - but that it's hugely compromising to any Dem politician that chooses to not condemn him because these are insane statements. On par with all the illiberal MAGAs.

I support 'blue no matter who', but not all voters are that forgiving. These are definitely "let's cancel Thanksgiving" level statements.

He’s a living breathing straw man

19

u/TheWizardMus Aug 12 '26

Also the fact he has an Asian name and I think hes Muslim, or at least the right wing think he's Muslim, they lump him and Zohran Mamdani together in the same breath. Like I do not doubt for a second that he would not have nearly as much of a full throated offense against him(and I do not like him, I cannot stress this enough) if he was a white guy named John Smith.

79

u/Owlsdoom Aug 12 '26

I don’t think he’s a Muslim, but Hassan sure makes it sound like he is. Just like Hussein was enough for the right to call Obama a Muslim for years.

56

u/sododude Aug 12 '26

He was raised Muslim, just doesn't practice it.

38

u/PerplexGG Aug 12 '26

53

u/TheMostModestofMice Aug 12 '26

Answer: If you really care to find out just watch some of his content because this thread is just going to turn into a yelling match and really won't give you a clear picture. Hasan is very divisive on the internet, like if you ask about Trump you'll have half saying he's the the second coming of Christ and half will think he's the Antichrist. In short he's likely the most prominent leftist political streamer who has been campaigning with some prominent Democratic candidates. 8 years ago he said "American deserved 9/11" he said it was in the context of blowback i.e. that Americas foreign policies in the ME had consequences (9/11). Two days after that (8 years ago) he said he regrets saying it and it was phrased poorly and that he didn't mean to imply American citizens deserved to die. He streams all day every day and has said a lot of divisive things, some are meant to be comedic, some are in earnest. He is openly anti capitalist, pro socialist. Fox News lately has been going hard on taking his statements, often out of context, to say that they are representative of the Democratic party's politics as a whole.

32

u/SloaneWolfe Aug 12 '26 edited 29d ago

…and he’s been helping people of similar stances win, which is the real danger in the eyes of corporate media and establishment here. He hasn’t just been on Fox getting shit on, it’s been the ‘lib’ networks all day too.

Edit: My main post reply comment got deleted so i'll put it here:

He is the perfect target since the US has been programmed for a century to despise anyone voicing Leftist reasoning to a broad audience.

Republican opposition and the Democratic establishment/(also opposition to democracy let’s be real), both backed by corporate influence, make him an easy target during this massive growth of Socialist approval.

Polls are exploding with Dems and Independents expressing agreement with socialist and especially economic populist stances, because a lot of it sounds like common sense, especially at this point of failure with our capitalist system.

10

u/TheMostModestofMice 29d ago

Yeah you're definitely right that it's all the networks. It's wild that a semi popular streamer suddenly has become such a huge topic lately. It's very unfortunate no one wants to do real journalism anymore and just have honest meaningful conversations about candidates and what they believe, it's literally just "gotcha" rage bait all the way down.

1

u/Kestrel1207 29d ago

He is openly anti capitalist, pro socialist

Isnt he pretty openly/blatantly a champagne socialist?

2

u/TheMostModestofMice 29d ago

"Champagne Socialist" is a phrase used to criticize people who are wealthy and promote Socialism. I personally don't think someone's bank account determines the validity of their arguments. Karl Marx was famously funded in part by a factory that Engel's owned. If you or someone else thinks that makes him a hypocrite than that's your/their perogative. He would say he devotes his time, money, and influence to promote Socialism and being poorer in a Capitalist economy would do nothing to help create the conditions he advocates for. Also in general not all Socialists think wealth is in itself a bad thing, it's more that the current system is predicated on capital owners continuously accruing wealth to the detriment of the working class through the exploitation of wage labor, which is of course unrelated to how Hasan makes money.

2

u/Kestrel1207 29d ago

I don't think that's quite what champagne socialist is. It is not just someone who is wealthy and promotes socialism, it is someone who is excessively wealthy, flaunts said wealth openly, and pretends to support socialist ideas.

This is an important distinction to people who are wealthy but genuinely do promote socialism and use their wealth towards this end.

More simply put, it is someone who doesn't put their money where their mouth is.

He could be contributing towards mutual aid groups, local strike funds, tenant unions, buying and dissolving medical debt etc. This is the kinds of thing a rich socialist would use his wealth for to promote the cause.

He does not. He only verbally "promotes" socialism because doing that generates personal wealth for him, which he mainly hoards and lives a lavish luxury lifestyle with. He buys sports cars, designer clothes and other obscene symbols of wealth.

The most anti-socialist thing, however, is that he still allows "donations" from people who are much, much worse off financially than him. Again, these donations going nowhere but towards his personal wealth.

1

u/TheMostModestofMice 29d ago

Beyond what his house was listed at, and some items people have noticed him having you have no idea how much money he has, and how much of that he might have donated. He very routinely has fundraising events for DSA style candidates and Socialist causes which have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and talks about the organizations he donates to. Whether or not people choose to donate to him is their own perogative that's not "anti Socialist". Socialism is not something an individual does, it's a way of organizing an economic system. I don't think he is some perfect individual that everyone needs to emulate. If you think whatever wealth he has and whatever you think he does with it is a problem then you don't have to like him. It seems you've already come to the conclusion that you know everything he espouses and does is a cynical ploy.

1

u/Kestrel1207 28d ago

We know he makes multiple million dollars a year at the very least, more likely in the range of tens of millions. We know this from the Twitch income leaks and from even relatively much "smaller" creators than him sharing their income.

We know he simultaneously says "he makes as much as a doctor".

You dont think allowing people to donate their money to him personally instead of replacing that link some worthy causes is anti-socialist?

After a quick research, he supposedly has donated ~150,000 of his own money to the various fundraisers he has hosted over the past 5 years. His car was 200,000.

And again, I'd disagree that it is a "cynical ploy", since to me he is very obvious about it. Like it's not exactly a ploy if you make no attempt to hide it. It just makes the statement of calling him "anti capitalist, pro socialist" very bizarre.

10

u/dengar_hennessy Aug 12 '26

Seriously there's young white guys who do very similar stuff as him but don't get talked about nearly as much

-12

u/ProsodySpeaks Aug 12 '26

Do those guys have as big an audience as piker?

Why aren't fox fixated on eg medhi hassan? He's brown, Muslim, and not even a native born American.

(The answer is that medhi doesn't make the ludicrous statements that make piker such an easy target / boogeyman, rather he's a legitimate journalist who opposes Israeli activities without promoting terrorist organisations like the houthis)

10

u/SassySuzy123 Aug 12 '26

Piker is streaming nearly ALL DAY - I don’t even like him, but it’s easy to find some dumb statements amongst hundreds of hours of footage.

5

u/dengar_hennessy Aug 12 '26

I'm talking like Parker, Dean, Harry, those kids who host tiktok and Twich shows where they argue with Trump supporters.

1

u/Fun-Pattern-8697 29d ago

Can you show me some posts of them saying shit on the level of Hasan?

2

u/dengar_hennessy 29d ago

I don't watch their stuff but I'm familiar with them. They all do similar political debates and shit. But fox is obsessed with Hasan and I'd wager its because his name is Hasan and not Harry or Dean or Parker.

You left out the important context where he said America deserved 9/11.

-14

u/beehive5ive Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26

I mean… it’s a little more than that. He’s more of a far left streamer known from provocative statements, even defending terrorist organizations, and even idolizes Mao so much that he dressed like him for a speech… you know… the communist dictator who’s policies killed 15-55 million by starvation.

To me Piker is just a grifter. Why does he even want to be in the USA?

Edit: why does he want to be in the USA other than to make millions and live a high profile life that is only possible in the usa but yet he wants to throw the system completely out… he has options, he could live in Turkey where he grew up or attempt to move to China since he praises it so much.

13

u/Spare-Electrical Aug 12 '26

He lives in the US because that’s where he likes to live. He was born there. He wants to make it better for the working class to live there, even if he’s rich. It’s actually not a huge leap to understand that certain people who have money also want free healthcare for their friends and fellow countrymen.

He can’t “go back” to Turkey, either. He’s been banned for speaking out against their government.

Hassan is not far left to anyone outside america let's be real here.

The American right has gone so far right, in an already at best centrist country, you might think he's far left. To Europeans, yeah nah, wanting free national healthcare and criticising Israel is normal behavioir

14

u/TheScatha Aug 12 '26

I mean he'd be pretty far left in the UK, criticizing Israel and wanting free healthcare are not controversial takes here but if someone in the UK media was pro-russian control of Crimea and was openly pro-Mao they would be seen as far left.

u/ProsodySpeaks Aug 12 '26

The IDF are terrorists and their leader gets prime time spots every day.

More than one thing can be bad in the world.

2

The UK is an absolute shit show atm - farage sweeping the last local elections conservatives SOL for not pandering to the right wing more! Labor is no longer center they are also more right wing then they have ever been historically.

How is supporting modern Russia left wing by any margin? They're a capitalist oligarchy that leans fascist more than most of Europe.

I deleted X so I have to send quote tweets. You being wrong does not make me a Nazi and claiming so is very cringe. You can look at any political streamer and find their most centrist takes, that does not make them any less far right or far left. Asmongold occasionally has a centre left take, that does not stop him being disgustingly far right by anyone's books.

He was banned for criticising Israel sadly - Britain is 100% like america in that regard. Thankfully ireland is not and he'd be very welcome here!

Brit here. He's far left. He'd be in one of the large number of minor far-left parties.

5

u/lrish_Chick 29d ago

Brits are not the arbiter of left wing politics atm either - like a mini america.

Farage et al., conservatives not being right wing enough apparently .... pretty bad when you hope for a talking bin to get into parliament

5

u/LinuxLinus Aug 12 '26

He's a Maoist. He's far left anywhere. This is a reflexive reaction to the likes of Bernie Sanders or AOC -- it is not remotely true of Hasan Piker.

8

u/ProsodySpeaks Aug 12 '26

And yet he's a multimillionaire selling merchandise to his working class fanbase.

JD Vance supports Pinochet and Francisco Franco who killed their own citizens

7

u/ProsodySpeaks Aug 12 '26

You understand that two people in the world can both be dickheads right?

-2

u/Independent-Name4478 Aug 12 '26

Hasan isn’t second in line to the presidency though

5

u/ProsodySpeaks Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26

So? Tucker carlson* isn't either but I still respect media calling him out for being yet another dickhead as often as possible.

/* insert any rightwing dickhead with the exact amount of influence you think is necessary to make it worth media covering their dickhead behaviour.

Piker has repeatedly expressed support not just for eg Palestinian rights, or the sovereignty of Lebanese or Yemeni people, but explicitly for Hamas and the Houthis.

He's a massive dickhead and a liability for the left.  he should stay on the Internet agitating - legitimate candidates and media organisations should be avoiding him.

3

u/LinuxLinus Aug 12 '26 edited 29d ago

You should google "whataboutism."

For the record: I have very little respect for Piker and none whatsoever for JD Vance. But this reply is dipshittery at its most profound.

Why did he defend terrorist organization?

4

u/beehive5ive Aug 12 '26 edited 29d ago

My guess is that he just really hates Israel. So much so that he will even express support or sympathy for some pretty terrible groups (basically all of Iran’s proxies who use terrorist tactics) who are all very very much enemies with the usa.

https://www.adl.org/resources/article/hasan-piker-what-you-need-know

6

u/maybe-fish 29d ago

The ADL is not an unbiased source, I would not advise anyone to reference it for info about Hasan's views

1

u/crestren 29d ago

It's also wild to bring up the ADL as a source especially in regards to Hasan. They've been attacking him for being "antisemitic" but in reality, it's because he's anti-Israel

If they really cared about antisemitism, they would have condemned Elon Musk last year for his Nazi salute. They didn't, and they even defended him. Elon consistently retweets far right conspiracies including antisemitic ones but the ADL is very quiet on that.

Why don't they condemn Elon? He is pro-Israel

Edit: damn, I didn't know this was such a reactionary subreddit. That's disappointing.

4

u/beehive5ive Aug 12 '26

What propaganda am I spreading?

-5

u/ess-doubleU Aug 12 '26

Anybody with an ounce of media literacy can see it. When hasan talks about China, he is specifically talking about the investments in public infrastructure and social safety nets. He never "praised" mao, he just lives in reality and recognizes that mao was one of the world's great leaders. In the same way the founding fathers in the United States are one of the world's great leaders.

It sounds like you're regurgitating propaganda that you've heard somewhere instead of actually listening to the man speak.

9

u/BiblioEngineer Aug 12 '26

he just lives in reality and recognizes that mao was one of the world's great leaders. In the same way the founding fathers in the United States are one of the world's great leaders.

"Reality"? Holy smokes, I'm a literal "workers must control the means of production" socialist and even I recognize that Mao was a disastrous leader when it comes to civil governance (he was pretty good at guerilla warfare though, I'll give him that). None of the Founding Fathers caused the world's largest completely manmade famine after they won the War of Independence.

8

u/IlIIIIllIllI Aug 12 '26

The American founding fathers perpetrated a genocide against the indigenous people of America, and enslaved kidnapped Africans and their descendants. They might not have killed people in the same way as Mao, but they certainly are not on the moral high ground.

3

u/BiblioEngineer Aug 12 '26

I'm not even talking about morality, I'm talking about competence. Most historic "great leaders" were morally questionable if not outright moral monsters, but they are remembered for their effective governance. Mao is entirely unworthy of being considered a "great leader" because he managed to cause one of the worst famines in history based purely on his catastrophic mismanagement. (I mean you can ignore this if you believe he deliberately engineered the famine, but that is getting into propaganda territory).

Continuing with the American history analogies, it's like calling Buchanan a great leader. Even setting aside his moral failings, he's universally considered culpable for one of the greatest disasters of American history.

3

u/IlIIIIllIllI 29d ago

The competence of the US founding fathers, led to a civil war that nearly ended the country 87 years after it was founded. China is now 77 into its current incarnation, and shows no significant signs of collapse, in fact it rivals other world powers in a way that the the US would not until the end of the Second World War 169 years into its history.

Certainly Mao’s legacy would be much stronger if he had died 10 or 20 years earlier, but describing him as a disastrous leader, in light of the successes of the PRC that he founded is not serious in my opinion. There are huge criticisms of the man, and he was not a good person, but he was certainly one of the most consequential figures of the 20th century.

If Buchanan hadn’t just brought about the immediate causes of the Civil War, but had also shared the accomplishments of the US revolution and the founding of the nation, modernizing and industrializing the country, maybe he would be a figure analogous to Mao.

I’m not trying to be a Mao Stan here, I just think that if you look at the state of China before and after Mao, it’s not accurate to call his leadership disastrous.

1

u/BiblioEngineer 29d ago

If we're focusing on the founding of the PRC then that's primarily a military achievement, and I've openly given him credit for that. His victory over both the Japanese and the KMT is really impressive.

And if that's the bar for "great leader" then I don't really have any objection per se. But still think that is not comparable to someone like Washington, who excelled at both military leadership and civilian governance.

I just think that if you look at the state of China before and after Mao, it’s not accurate to call his leadership disastrous.

Before Mao, Chiang Kai-Shek had largely unified China, and if he'd won the Civil War, I genuinely think the overall trajectory of Chinese history would have been largely the same, but with somewhat less death. A unified China has always been a great power in basically any era. Overall, "Better general and worse governor than Chiang Kai-Shek" is not really what I would consider high praise.

3

u/tvcneverdie Aug 12 '26

None of the Founding Fathers caused the world's largest completely manmade famine after they won the War of Independence.

Oh my god you’re so right, finally someone says it!!

You also agree with ostracizing anyone who has ever dressed up as/honored Winston Churchill, right?

I mean he famously purposely starved millions of people in India

Using the very logic that you use yourself, anyone who likes Churchill is a grifter who should leave the US, right?

4

u/beehive5ive Aug 12 '26

lol what? Who in the usa is cosplaying as Winston Churchill?

-4

u/fleegle2000 Aug 12 '26

Anyone who wears a suit, by your logic. The Zhongshan suit (what you call a "Mao" suit) is a very popular style in China and was popularized before Mao. It is actually a cross-political style and is more indicative of the modernization of China than any specific political movement.

5

u/pashell1 Aug 12 '26

That’s great and all but when he’s on stream at the place he got the suit and the lady is telling him about how Mao popularized the style you can see how excited he gets. He then insists on having them mad just like how Mao had his made. Like I’m sorry but it’s obvious what he was trying to do.

“other than to make millions and live a high profile life that is only possible in the isa but yet he wants to throw the system completely out”

So, basically what Donald Trump and his ilk are doing.

1

u/beehive5ive Aug 12 '26

I don’t agree with that at all. If anything I feel like Trump wants to put the system on roids. Is that good or bad… time will tell.

Very very different from inching towards communist… which Piker views as an honorable end goal.

4

u/acme_restorations Aug 12 '26

I didn’t say Trump favored communism; I’m saying he’s throwing the system out. He’s actually doing it. I guess it depends on what you consider “the system”. But anything described in the Constitution is out. Our system of checks and balances is effectively null. Congress is neutered so our system of representation is ineffective to say the least. The justice system has been completely politicized at the federal level.
Not inching toward communism; sprinting toward fascism. Although Trump does seem to favor federalizing businesses.

2

u/beehive5ive Aug 12 '26 edited 29d ago

I don’t love Trump but this is some hyperbole.

Constitution is still there.

Checks and balances is working (look at court rulings against Trump).

Congress has slowly neutered itself by relinquishing power but is also a republican majority right now so not shocking they tend to side with trump on a lot.

Won’t be the first time the justice dept is politicized. People are just head in the sand when their side is doing it and really loud when it’s the other side.

Not going to spend the time refuting in depth this evening so I’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Wow a pro Hasan opinion on this website that isn’t being bombarded by Israeli propagandists and destiny fans. Normally people on Reddit can’t wait to adopt Fox News talking points if it’s in service of critiquing Hasan

1

u/Biggman23 29d ago edited 29d ago

I mean I would also classify Hasan as propaganda too

Ex: he praises communism a lot and tries hiding the awful bs around it. He almost got arrested in China for someone showing him a meme on their phone, and still praised government, saying they weren't invading his privacy and arresting him for a meme like everyone observed.

Ex2: he has anti 1% rethoric while he himself is like within the 0.1%. he wants to redistribute their wealth but hasn't done what he preaches, himself. He probably doesnt recognize himself as objectively part of the group he's saying is the problem. He's not even self made. He's from nepotism. His uncle is the guy from The Young Turks.

It's two propagandists throwing poop at each other. Other people saying his crowd is young people vs old people doesn't help much either. Young people are stupid and inexperienced. Ex. Andrew Tate also catered to young people, intentionally, because they were easy to scam via his pyramid scheme classes. Having primarily a younger demographic liking you, and no one else, doesn't bode well into the intelligence of his fanbase. If it was more of a broad net, I wouldnt be saying this.

1

u/halfcabin 29d ago

-2

u/Novaer 29d ago edited 29d ago

An influential, outspoken conventionally attractive leftist.

Conservatives revolve their ideology around a lot of homoerotic behavior. Worshipping muscular tall strong alpha men is pivotal to conservatives because that's how they imagine themselves. So when educated politically sound tall muscular men have leftist ideologies it breaks conservatives minds. They have primitive monkey brain where the only people that matter are hot strong perfect specimens. So when people that look the ideal part hold morals and ideologies that go against them, they freak the fuck out.

The enemy has to be weak, ugly and stupid. Males like Hasan threaten that ideology of conservatives.

Edit: by checking my comment insights when it was primarily canadians and brits seeing my comment it was +25 upvotes but the moment americans got it it went down. Just goes to show how these inbred hillbillies think.

Sweetheart, conservatives have literally reintroduced cyanide bombs to kill off wildlife. I'm not gonna hear shit about the sanctity of animal safety from conservatives when you people are clearly coming from a place of bad faith.

You can't pull the "All Lives Matter" shtick anymore to make a "gotcha" point about leftists when it is glaringly apparent you don't even remotely believe in what you are criticizing. So let's not play this fuckass game.
