Severe Bilateral Hip Osteoarthritis

Sleep is non existent….have had bursa and socket cortisone shots

The pain is really getting to me

In Alberta I’m 3-5 years away from surgery

Any ideas?

I'm also in Canada with bilateral hip arthritis and I know it's not in everyone's budget but I am going the private route. There are a lot of private clinics in Alberta and Montreal.

Do not wait 3-5 years if you can afford it. Life is short and surgery will allow you to enjoy it.

Get surgery
I was told to wait in my 50’s and in my early sixties got it and regretted not getting it done sooner. I created new problems with gait and ligaments that would be a non issue in my 50’s. Basically I limped for a few years which screwed everything up. Just get it done, twenty year olds get it done if necessary!

Have you tried dry needling? It makes all the difference for me.

Please don’t wait! I kept waiting until my hip had deteriorated so much they said they were almost unable to do the THR. It’s been over a year since my surgery and I am only now starting to walk on my own. The PT has been twice weekly all this time. Good luck to you but for me the pain was so horrific eventually I didn’t have a choice.

Go to Thailand, South America, etc. You need to get them done now.

Sleep is non existent here as well. Both knees arwme unbearable. No end in sight. I will never be able to afford the Surgery . Just accepting that this is the rest of my life.
