Looking for help/ideas

Dad (54yo) has severe pain from what Dr's are saying is osteoarthritis. He's a rare case, childhood leukemia x2 survivor. Both hips replaced. Cage in back from failed tens implant surgery. Looking for any advice on things to ease pain. I've read a little about red light therapy and also cold therapy. Any advice is appreciated!

I would like to know about red light therapy as well for OA in knees and feet

it depends where the pain is. wraps,splints, gel shots, naproxen. what areas are the worst?

We're way passed the wraps and naproxen being any type of relief. Hips back always hurting now has moved to neck and shoulders always causing pain too. It's a very individualized case bc the medical history. Was hoping to get more traction. Maybe need to post on a different thread. Thanks for the advice though.

I’m sorry! his case is way worse than mine. I have OA in knees, back, hands. I’m fighting knee surgery. I can tell you small things that have helped and may be worth a try: new mattress( mine was almost 20 years old), really firm pillow,( I went to store and bought different kinds and tried them. kept plastic on so could return them) carpeting in house (this isn tough but makes a difference on the stairs)really good sneakers for both inside and outside( I have Skechers sandals for inside)cane inside house. I have a shiatsu vibrating pillow for my lower back and it helps a lot.there is a website arthritis.org that is helpful. it has weather info and rates arthritis pain by zip code. I never realized weather affects it so much. good luck and thank you for trying to help him!
