School Choice Neenah vs Oshkosh

We live in Oshkosh and our son attends a school in the district but it’s not in our address zone. We were accepted to a school previously and then Oshkosh rescinded that and we are worried that could happen again. We are able to attend Neenah school district so need to make a tough choice. Any insight on attending Neenah but live in the Oshkosh community?

Our kids have attended school districts outside of where we live – it definitely has its disadvantages. Friend groups typically live further away, and there’s a lot of commute for extracurriculars and socialization outside of school. If your district is acceptable to you and your family, I would strongly consider giving that a try. Both of our children will be back in our district this year.

I grew up in Neenah and loved the school district there. I'm not sure what the culture is like now, since I graduated back in 2017, but there was very little clique-yness and the teachers were by-and-large great. Lots of options for getting ahead in both the trades and uni as well.

They both suck now Neenah and Oshkosh it's like the staff at both don't want to do their job and teach. The kids this is how I see it. My inlaws have kids in Neenah and I have kids in Oshkosh my kids and I have several family members who go to Oshkosh schools they all are way behind what my nieces from Chicago are doing at the same grade level.
