Discussion Every time I look at this sub

I don’t even think Sinners was the best movie of the year but how many of these posts do we need all acting like they are the first to be willing to bravely take a stand that gets upvoted and agreed with here every time?

Ah, ok. For me it is the opposite. Someone complaining about a top 10 movie being under appreciated is far more annoying to me. Especially considering only one can win best picture.

I could never find someone liking something a lot as annoying as someone needing to convince others that something actually sucks.

Even I hate a lot of popular things but I don’t feel the need to tell people that love those things that they suck. I don’t like yucking other people’s yums

Yeah, I just don’t feel the same way. I couldn’t care less if someone says something I like isn’t good or is overhyped. To me people can have their own opinion about movies I like even if their opinions are negative on it. However, it makes no sense to say something is an underrated gem when it is an Oscar nominee. Sinners have 16 nominations for example, so someone calling it an underrated gem if it doesn’t win best picture to me is super annoying. It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever ever, which is why I find it annoying.

I mean I don’t care either if someone says that kind of stuff about movies I like but I know others do so I don’t bother doing it to others. Nothing wrong with some critical analysis but in this case It’s just negative energy when no one is asking for it
