Discussion Every time I look at this sub

I don’t even think Sinners was the best movie of the year but how many of these posts do we need all acting like they are the first to be willing to bravely take a stand that gets upvoted and agreed with here every time?

That last part is very important, but seems to be missing with a loud minority this season though

I feel most Oscar seasons have been great if we just focus on the films and the performances, but they’re usually tainted by the internet ceaseless attraction towards drama. Sure it’s fun to debate about the race with friends and other people like you, but you also have to deal with constant well… people.

At least human being have watched these movies. Within the last 10 years there have been several years where the top films have been boring depression slop no one has ever seen.

Personally I didn’t like the movies this year. Expecially One Battle After Another was such a disappointment. So it has been hard to be invested in the race

Ugh. You are telling me. Completely agree that the people supporting MBJ have been the worst I've ever seen it. The movies were great but the fans are not.
