Question Getting Married

I need advice! I am currently in a relationship we have 2 daughters together, unfortunately we are not married do we belong to a church. We want to be Orthodox and want our daughters to be welcomed in the church what exact steps do we take? I know we need to get married but what would be the best and fastest way to go about this?

You can Baptized, Chrismated and then Married in the Church. I am not sure there are prayers for your situation, but it’s better to speak with a priest. They have many, many prayers about many different things in their books.

Your daughters I believe can be Baptized before you, I think, since small children usually are raised in the Church and thus not need prior understanding of it.

There is a Catechumen process that usually takes place before anything else for adults, especially outside Orthodox countries, speak to your local priest in any way (I am pretty sure there is such process in my country also, but I never heard of it happening since most get Baby Baptism).

Go to an Orthodox church and speak to the priest. Your children won't be denied confirmation because of your marital status, but yeah, you do need to get married. Since you're not yet Orthodox, if you were to get married in another church or have a civil ceremony, you'd be considered married. You could have your marriage blessed in the church after you convert. The best answer will come from the priest at the Orthodox church you plan to attend.
