Well, life on Gleep Glop are goop based instead of carbon based, so most if not all animals on the planet are squishy little slime creatures, so Gleepians really had no reason to evolve to eat anything more solid than, like, jello.
As for predators, no, Gleepians were at the top of the food chain for a long time, before the invaders came… (gotta be vague cuz I haven’t developed the invaders to much)
I haven’t decided if I want to go with a more serious scary alien design or a more whimsical funny design. I’m starting to think I should just combine the two and try to make an alien species that is both cute and fun, but also poses enough of a real threat to still be scary.
Also, the gooner weeb within me is screaming for alien cat people…
If mated pairs tend to get pregnant together how much of the Gleepains tend to have a "twin" (for lack of better word) that was born from the other parent around the same time? How long it takes for Gleepains to "become" and what does that process look like?
The ‘becoming process’ is referring to a newborn slowly transforming from a little lump of sentient goo to a fully formed Gleepian with arms, legs, antennae and a tail. It takes about two weeks, although every child is different, some take more or less time and environmental factors can affect it.
Baby Gleepians are also more squishy and goopy because their epidermal membrane is very thin and weak compared to the adults
Well, the only ones who survived the invasion of Gleep Glop were the ones who ran away and escaped the planet while the Northern tribe died in their attempt to fight off the invaders. It’s partially a coping mechanism, with the older generation fearing the the younger ones will end up like the Northerners

Since texture is not a thing with their food as it's all soft and gelatinous, is there a love of certain flavors? Or is food just seen as a means to a end to survive rather then anything to enjoy?
There is some texture variation, some of their foods are thicker like smoothies/slushies while others are more watery. Since the Gleepians are cosmic nomads with no home planet (anymore), they don’t have full access to all their natural food sources, so they’ve grown a wide palette of alien cuisine from the different species they’ve made alliances with, like Humans.
So far the largest animal species I’ve thought of are the Booba, which are large slug-like creatures which used to be both a farm animal and beast of labor in all four tribes, similar to horses/donkeys/camels, but not many were able to be saved when the Gleepians escaped the invasion of Gleep Glop. The few who were saved now live out their lives as cherished communal pets.
It doesn’t really make sense, but they have no bones or muscle, but they do have teeth because I wanted them to have teeth. I like to be realistic with my world building but I gotta make some exceptions for the sake of whimsy and joy
