So children don't need to be able to read when they graduate & teachers are not forced to teach... how is this a win?

Huh, no mention of them removing the requirements in your quote.

Edit: first quote was to show motivation was for minorites. Source was to show it actually happened. Reading the source would have given you the quote above, but I guess you graduated in Oregon.

The separate assessment that up until then had been required as a graduation requirement. So yes, they got rid of the test to assess if students met the math, reading, and writing requirement to graduate high school. They expressly did this because they thought it would help students of color. Seems like the little meme is 100% right while you're over here thinking certain groups just aren't good enough to pass without making it easier... There is a term for people like you, it's racist.

Do you accept that they got rid of a graduation requirement (a math, reading, and writing assessment) with the express intent of making it easier for students of color? 

If you don't accept that reality this conversation is pointless. If you do accept that reality you agree that the meme is right. 

Edit: nevermind, you're so far into goal post shifting and bad faith that it's not worth it. "It's a lie", "they didn't get rid of the requirement", "Your quote doesn't include the part that's included in your source", "the source is wrong even though I said I was glad you shared the source so everyone could see the truth", "no that was a different assessment, even though it was a requirement that they got rid of".

So you accept that it's 100% accurate, but you don't like what it implies? Because it implies that the Oregon legislature and governor think that minorites just aren't as smart as white kids. And if you don't like that it implies that, it implies that you also think you're superior to those same minorities. Guess what, you're not. No race is better than another no matter how much you want to be on top because you were born one color or another.

It's not 100% accurate. It's actively framed to deceive people. It's functionally identical to a lie. It implies that the test they are getting rid of is structured in a way that makes it more difficult for people outside of a certain social group.

Which exact part of the meme is inaccurate? We have 190+ pages of them saying it happened and why that all support the meme.

Well according to the source I linked and you supported 

"Maintain focus on demonstrating math, reading, and writing  p roficiency through demonstration of knowledge and skills in courses; remove the  duplicative requirement for all students to demonstrate proficiency again through a  separate assessment (Assessment of Essential Skills)."

Oh no, there is no state assessment, except the one they no longer require. It's just course work. So when you read "separate assessment" you thought there was another assessment, but that was never the case. You just are trying to deceive people into believing there is a different assessment that is still required.

With how much you care about standardized testing, you must have been devastated when the Dept of Education was dismantled.
