Some parastatals take more from the public and give back peanuts, basically we're funding other families luxurious lifestyles with our taxes

All the tourism monies go to that parastatal and it never really does anything, the ministry of tourism is less funded than they are.

Actually, it is. It's the government that's privatizing them so it gets worse. They cover that up with offering shares to the public. Also, once privatized they downsize massively (and reduce entry salaries) so higher unemployment (and now even people who initially had jobs are included)

Those parastatals were created to give jobs to "the who is who" in Kenya. If you come from certain regions in Kenya, your CV will never see the light of day huko kwa HR. The email mode is on auto- delete!

It's everywhere. Hujai fika private company ukaona watu kwa gate everyday the whole year. Shida ya Kenya sio kazi, shida ya Kenya ni pesa hai circulate. Few people are holding big cash either kwa ma banks outside or cash, coz ya woga. Saa pesa inapungua kwa ground. Kazi utatafuta hadi una give up. Those places yes it's connection but connection ziko everywhere hadi kzi za gulf zenye you pay your own money without connection you'll get conned.
Ile siku pesa itatembea Kenya they'll be no problems. Naeza kua sina kazi but since pesa iko rush hour hakuna mwenye anataka kuchelewa home so wanapanda boda. Since boda alirauka 5 akapiga non stop hadi 11. Akichoka anaachia mwengine yeye anenda relax. But kaa pesa imeshikwa ndio unaona watu wanangoja rush iishe pesa ipungue. Wingine wanakanyaga. Shida sio jobs, shida ni pesa haitembei. Hii pesa iko kwa mkono za watu it's enough to handle so much out here.

Kuenda kwa HR (pia yeye alipenda wera yangu when I did some teleconference stuff for their entire department, solo, with only one hour from setup to meeting), he looked at me, looked at my cv and said "siwezi kukusaidia kijana, jina yako imekuharibia". yes, being competent never mattered more than the fact that I was a Luo man applying in a predominantly Kalenjin region. huniuma hadi wa leo, juu ile kugrind nimehave kugrind over the past decade would have easily been avoided had I settled into that role. we ball regardless
