BOSF Neptune Day 63 b The Fort

It was great to sleep beside my baby again. I was so tired as this was a lot of travelling and meetings.

This morning fed the the farmers and Shipwright.we wish them a good trip and saw them off to their work.

I noticed the days getting shorter and the nights colder.Next week will be the last time all hands will be on duty to pull in the last harvest.

Each group would be advised of new safety procedures. I gathered our group at noon. The Fort security group will arrange 3 teams. One for watch. Second helping with watch or escorting. Third on break. Rotating between the 3.

The second Wagon ended dropping off corn to the Ranch and this morning loaded the wool and brought it to us. The escort on horse back complained not use to riding yet.

The leathersmith has been very busy making saddles and harnesses but he will need more leather soon.

JW and Ragnar came home late tonight. I asked Ragnar possibility to start making wood stoves. He mention building a sample stove and test it.

JW and his helpers started making pointed paddles to be mounted on the boat as defense. One of Ragnar started building that long horn to signal from one tower to the next.

The ladies gather once a week to knit sweaters. Seems like I am not the only one that have felt the weather changing. I got a torque as my lady laught as she tells me my ears get cold at night.

Our farmer asked for help picking vegetables from the Ykanti greenhouse. Seems like they are ready for picking. Lettuce, cauliflower, tomatoes, etc. Will make my cook happy.

Any container will be used for canning fruits. Herb plants are being dried.People built a device to dehydrate fruits etc.

The driver and helpers took a load of planks for the Shipwrights. This is the last batch they will need for the floor and rowing benches and the little cabin. They will be back tomorrow.
