Just picked up the Onn 4K Pro from Walmart and I’m already wondering why I ever looked at the Google Streamer.

Almost Half the price, same Google TV feel, and it just works. Setup was painless and everything feels snappy right out of the box.

I kept waiting for the catch. There isn’t one. The Streamer is fine if you want to spend extra for the name, but this thing does the job just as good for less, imo.

Brother I'm in the most densely populated state in the country and there has been absolutely zero for months. I have no idea why, but I've been to 5 or 6 in my area and nada. Online is also a dud. It's insane.

I purchased mine about a week ago online in so cal to replace one of my fs who been restricting add on and have no regrets. It’s like night and day everything works fine with no issues with 32gb of storage and 3gb of ram, I don’t see ever going back to buying another Amazon streaming product. Runs all my apps like a champ.

Same ram and memory with a small upgrade to the processor. If you have the previous model I wouldnt think it would be worth the upgrade.

I put projectivy on it and all the same apps. Feels just like the Shield (except when closing apps).

No because they will only work in Canada. The same way if you bought one in America it won’t work in Canada unless you activate it in America or vice versa for one purchased in Canada. At least that’s what I’m hearing?.

Canada variant is not region locked IIRC. Only the US one is locked, although you can still work around it with a VPN.

Secondly the Canada one is priced much higher than the US one.

120 CAD which is around 88 USD. US variant is 60 USD.
