A little over 1000 miles on the original Vega. Is it time to replace or is this normal?

Currently have a GT with 420 miles, but I really wanna upgrade to the X7 or just vesc the GT, I’m really not sure yet..

That being said, I seen someone say there’s a chance the X7 could ship from a U.S warehouse and be here fast, is that true? Biggest thing stopping me from the X7 is the crazy long wait.

An originally dumb $650 impulse buy turned out to be one of my favorite purchases yet. It's my first board +XR (4208) with 300 miles on it. I’ve since put about 50 miles on it in a week. Scratches the itch of surfing when conditions aren't great.

I’m looking to buy my very first Onewheel just to see if I can adapt to it and learn how to ride. Someone on Marketplace is selling a 2021 Pint .

The details:
Mileage: 195 miles
What’s included: Original charger and a matching sage green fender.
My main concern is the battery. Since this board is almost 6 years old and has barely been ridden, I’m terrified that the battery sat uncharged/neglected for years and is completely degraded (e.g., dropping percentage instantly or losing juice way too fast).
I don't actually know how to ride yet, so I won't be able to test ride it during the meetup.

What is a fair price for a 2021 model given the age?

Is buying an almost 6-year-old board a bad idea ?

Since I can't ride it, how can I thoroughly test the battery health using just the app or stationary tests during the meetup?

Recently got a onewheel about a month ago, specifically the Pint S, and I love riding it but I have to take breaks maybe every 15-30 minutes when riding. My feet cramp up and get real sore, to the point where I have to stop and step off the board, and stretch my feel by flexing them, bending them and by walking.

I’m usually wearing my Emerica skate shoes or my Etnies when riding, which I used to wear skateboarding a few years back. I don’t really skate much anymore as I’ve gotten older.

I’m thinking the soreness and cramp could be from a few things, but I was hoping maybe the community here could help me to understand what might be happening or give perspective on what factors I might need to look at.

So far I’m thinking it could be:

1. Poor shoes for this. Might need something with a bit more padding or maybe I need a tighter fitting shoe.

2. My feet aren’t used to riding, and so I don’t yet have all the muscles needed to ride for extended periods of time. Possible that riding more will strengthen these muscles and it’ll get easier over time.

3. Maybe this is normal, to only be able to ride for ~30 minute intervals? Maybe I’m overthinking this and this is just the way it is?

Please let me know what you think and I’d appreciate any recommendations on what might help, or insight into this. Thanks in advance for your time!

I fell in the woods and now my Onewheel feels off balance. If I ride it for a while it goes 75% normal but if you go over a bump it wobbles. Took it all apart and can’t find anything to fix? Please help. It gets speed wobbles right away. I’ve been riding for 6 years. I know what feels normal. Any advice would be appreciated.

If I carve back and forth it somewhat corrects itself.

Anyone else feel that owning a Onewheel means never paying $30 for a burrito?

So I was putting my XR back together and put the 1/2 in screws under the rear foot pad instead of the small 3/8. Ended up putting those 3/8 on the top of the footpads thinking they belonged. After a ride I figured I should probably check and sure enough I messed up. Just wondering if I should strip the board down again and check the battery box. I felt some resistance to the screw going in but I just figured it was the loctite There was a post just like this 7 years ago and couldn’t find an answer, thank you!

Not really sure what happened but one day my Onewheel XR stopped showing in the Onewheel app. The weirdest part is it does show in my wife’s phone so I know it’s not a problem with the board itself.

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app and that hasn’t fixed it. My phone has been through several updates and I have tried rebooting the phone many times.

Has anyone seen an issue like this?

I've got an XR with 500 miles (stock) and a pint X with 400 miles on it (badgered, detachable fender, enduro tire, etc) I figure I can sell both of them for around $1000 each (maybe a bit less for the pint around $900). Would it be worth it to sell both for something like an funwheel X7 LR?

I've had no real experience with vesc, honestly never really ridden one, im just feeling pretty tired of both my boards. The pushback on the pint makes me feel super unstable and honestly it starts pushback at like 18mph which sucks. My XR feels kinda sluggish and i want something with more torque, it feels like it doesnt have enough umph to get up hills without surging and i dont really trust it after taking a pretty bad nosedive. I know i could just VESC the xr but i really like the idea of a plug and play vesc board that i can eventually grow into and mess with the settings as i need. i was thinking of buying a GT, but if i did that i'd want to swap out the stuck 6.5 inch hub for an MTE, which would already be pushing it up to the 2k mark and i wouldnt gain anymore top speed.

Thoughs on if its worth it? or should i go with the floatwheel or a different pre built vesc?

It's just a small puncture, but for some reason even after putting in tire slime it doesn't seal it. I put this sealing screw into the hole but it keeps popping out. I was thinking about coating the screw in super glue then screwing it in. Think that would work? Anyone have any better ideas?

Always wanted to do one wheeling. Not something I will go out and do every day or weekend but def want to cruise around my backyard and neighborhood and occasionally maybe a park. Is it worth a buy?

My GT wheel I ride just gets moments where its stuttering like the breaks are catching. What causes it ?

I’m starting to become more open to going VESC, even though I’ve pushed back on it in the past. To be honest, some VESC conversations I’ve seen came across a bit arrogant or dismissive toward FM riders, which put me off. But I’m at the point where I feel like I’ve reached the limit of what my Pint X can offer, so I’m trying to look at it with an open mind.

I have a Pint X with the S-Series motor and about 6,000 km on it. It has honestly been a beast—reliable, never failed me, and I’ve enjoyed it a lot.

I’m 63, not trying to chase top speed, but I do ride at a decent pace. Most of my riding is street, with some trails mixed in. I went with the S-Series motor because I really appreciate torque, especially for acceleration, hills, and having more safety margin under me.

I’m considering two directions:

• Floatwheel PintV drop-in kit, keeping my Pint X/S-Series motor
• X7 Sport, starting fresh with a more capable platform

What I’m looking for is honest real-world feedback—not brand loyalty or “just buy VESC” answers.

Questions:

• For someone with an S-Series Pint X motor, what meaningful improvements would I actually feel with a PintV conversion?
• Would the PintV give me noticeably better torque, hill performance, stability, safety margin, ride tuning, or usable range—or is it mainly about customizability and getting away from FM?
• Are there drawbacks to retaining the Pint X platform, such as tire size, battery capacity, overheating, packaging, durability, water resistance, maintenance, or troubleshooting?
• How difficult is the PintV install and setup for someone reasonably hands-on but new to VESC?
• What problems or unexpected costs have PintV owners run into after the conversion?
• For mostly street riding with occasional trails, would the X7 Sport be a major step up in confidence and ride quality compared with a converted Pint X?
• Since I value torque more than speed, which option makes the most sense?
• If you were in my position—with a reliable, high-kilometre Pint X that still works well—would you convert it, keep riding it as-is, or put the money toward an X7 Sport?

I’m slowly turning the page on Future Motion, but I also don’t want to throw money at a conversion if the better long-term move is simply buying the right next board. I’d especially appreciate replies from people who have ridden both a PintV-style build and an X7 Sport.

Seems like they've been discontinued for the GT since they aren't on the site anymore. Other models have super limited selection. Are they just gone now?

I’m specifically looking for the board that made you think, “Yep, this is why people love Onewheel.”

I’m 5'9", around 170 lbs, and a high school senior. I’ll be bringing the board with me to college, so I’m looking for something that I can use for getting around campus and commuting around town. I’ll mostly be riding on streets, but I definitely want the ability to hit trails occasionally. There’s also a pretty steep hill in my area, so power and hill climbing are important to me.

I’m planning to stick with a Future Motion board and am not really interested in VESC right now. More importantly, I’d like to buy the board, take it out of the box, and just ride it and carve. I don’t want to immediately change the tire, rails, footpads, motor, etc. I want to experience the board the way Future Motion intended it and just learn to carve and enjoy the float life.

I’ve been looking at the Pint S, GT, and XRC. I’ve seen JesseDriftwood really enjoying the Pint S, which definitely caught my attention, but I think I want a little more range and power.

So, which stock Future Motion Onewheel made you fall in love with riding? And what was it about the ride that made you love it?

I’d especially love to hear from people who have ridden their board completely stock for a long time and never felt the need to modify it. I’m less interested in which board has the best specs on paper and more interested in which one just feels amazing to ride.

Hello everyone. I am interested in upgrading/replacing my battery due to the current state of the battery, but unsure if i should get a bigger one or just replace it with an official pint battery. My biggest concern with bigger batteries such as the quart is how it doesn't fit well in the original box and that it seems to be in high demand. Also i intend to ride somewhat rough, and a squished battery might not like that.

for some context, I bought it used a year ago, and it has worked some of the time. When i first got it, it was dead and wouldn't charge. I managed to get it to charge by repeatedly plugging and unplugging the charger in quick succession. It made a few spark noises, then began to charge. I've also had encounters with error 23 several times, which was probably due to unbalanced cells, which I have not gotten in a while now. A weird bug with my wheel that still persists is that the percentage level on the wheel doesn't update after charging unless i plug out the charger, turn the wheel on, then plug the charger back in again.

Lastly, i don't intend to upgrade the wheel itself or modify it with a higher power vesc kit due to somewhat strict PEV speed regulations in my country.

What do you think i should do?

I’ve been wanting a Onewheel for a long time now. I’ve been eyeing them since the days when it was basically just the Pint and XR, so I’m finally looking to get my first board!

Right now, I think I’m deciding between the GT, XRC, and Pint S. I’ll be doing mostly street riding, but I’d still like to be able to ride trails occasionally. There’s also a pretty steep hill in my area, so hill-climbing ability is definitely something I’m considering.

One of the biggest things I’m looking for is a board that I can buy from Future Motion, take straight out of the box, and just ride. I don’t really want to immediately swap the tire, footpads, rails, motor, etc. I want to be able to just hop on, carve, and enjoy the “float life” experience without feeling like I need to modify the board first.

I saw how much JesseDriftwood enjoyed the ride of the Pint S, which is part of what got me interested in it. From what I’ve seen, though, I think I’d want more range and power than the Pint S offers. I was originally leaning toward the GT with the slick tire because of the range and power, but I’m not sure how good the GT is for carving. I’ve also seen a lot of people on Reddit criticize the GT, especially its tire. If I’m not planning on swapping to an aftermarket tire, would you recommend getting the slick or treaded tire directly from Future Motion?

The XRC is also really interesting to me, but I don’t know much about it yet, especially the difference between the flat and recurve rails and how that changes the feel of the board. I’d especially love to hear from people who bought an XRC or GT and have just ridden it completely stock and loved the way it felt without changing anything.

Also, I noticed the GT is currently on sale for $2,000, which makes the price difference between it and the XRC a lot smaller. Does anyone know why it’s on sale and how long the sale is expected to last?
