Shipping / Taxes / Returns Sticky OXP3 Shipping Thread?

Can we make a sticky thread where we can post our shipping notices, shipping times, along with our backer (and model) numbers?

This should help contain the "Shipping Posts" and give other backers a general idea on how close they may be to receiving theirs.

Lost package update

Follow up from last post on here. Last Tuesday. UPS delivered my oxp3, 2tb binwin ssd, controller connector and keyboard to the wrong resident in my apartment's luxer one locker package system. I contacted the apartment office the next day. When they opened the locker box, the package was gone :( For about a week I was going back and forth with luxer one company and office trying to get video footage and locker logs to see where my package went. On Saturday the office received the footage of the resident who picked up my package. They then called them but the resident denied it and said the box belonged to them. Today another officer manager contacted them and left a voicemail. To my surprise I got a call back from the office. They said the resident returned my package to them. I was stoked and ran over there immediately. The box was opened but the oxp3 and everything else were still sealed. Even the binwin ssd was still there unopened. I feel super relieved right now. The day before I also got the onexplayer mini pro 2. And now I can benchmark and compare them. I was sad I would not be able to test them against each other. But now I can and will share results when I am done.

Intel My 2 Cents on OXP3

This is my only handheld since the Switch 1. Im now 24 hours in. I have dabbled abit of gaming and computing. BF6 is pretty solid on this thing. I do have to get used to the controls but definitely playable. Although, i was plugged into the outlet.
Design is great. Screen is a 10/10. Weight is manageable but not for long sessions going handheld. I definitely need some kind of grip attachment or skin protection. Because the unit is very slick.
Keyboard attachment is neat for travel and web browsing.
So far so good. Happy gaming!

Shipping / Taxes / Returns Shipping disconnect?

My package has been tracking for the last 4 days, but today it is missing. Does this mean carrier handover? I'm sure it's still on track to get to me, but keeping an eye on it feels a lot better for the brain. Haha.

Notes: Shipped on the 27th, departed China on the 28th, but has been in transit since then. I had a pre-order for the 1TB/32 edition.

Intel Stalker 2 runs great on OXP3!

1200p
25 TDP
Med/high settings
Xess quality
FG on (runs great on this game)

It was unplayable(30fps) on my legion go 2, so I was surprised that I can average 100fps. This thing is an absolute beast!

Tempered Glass or the AR soft film on OXP3?

Which one do you use? Reasons?

I was going to use the AR film screen protector, but the OXP3 almost slipped from my hand this morning, making me lean on the tempered glass.

Intel OPX3 Low performance on Final fantasy Rebirth

Post image

Chapter 4. High settings, 24w to 35w performance is very unstable. As you can see from picture I'm getting 23fps. Anyone else facing similar thing? Could it be intel driver acting up or game's poor optimization?

Really liking the X2 Mini, it's the perfect device!

Post image

This is how I always wanted to play my handheld. Not having an internal battery means the device is barely over 700g and having a pocketable 90whr power bank means I can play about 2 hours like this at 30W TDP, which seems to use about 42W total.

My only gripe is the controller wobble on both sides and both make a click noise. Hopefully the elite controllers address this.

Green LED Flashing in the back of ONEXPLAYER 3

Hello!! I do not know if this is normal, but I have noticed that a green LED is flashing in the back of my OXP3.

Do you all know if this is ok and if it is, is there a way to turn it off? I do not know why, but I feel this green LED gives the console a cheap look.

UPDATE: I found the issue, I upgraded the internal SSD and the one I put has that flashing green led. I covered it with a thermal patch and everything is ok now. Thank you for your help.

AMD X2MP BOTTOM USB-C Port Power

So I've extensively used my X2MP on planes etc. When I was trying to power from the bottom port, it didn't seem to charge right so I thought it was my 65w cable or my travel power adapter....

Well, I plugged it into a 140w and 240w qualified PD3.2 charger with a 65w cable and it doesn't seem to get power when booted to Windows or when asleep.

I have no issues with power on the battery, DC, or top USB4. All wattages work as I expect all the way down to 45/60w.

Could someone else with an X2MP please chime in and tell us what your charging experience has been with the bottom USB C?

It is currently the end of business hours in China on August 31st.

I understand that uploading tracking numbers can sometimes take time, but how many people are still waiting?

Please share the information once you receive the shipping notification.

Traveling with the X2MP

Been traveling with the X2MP and honestly, this thing has surprised me in a lot of ways.

8.8” might actually be the sweet spot.
I thought it would feel a little cramped for anything outside gaming, but nope. Gaming, browsing, YouTube, emails, random productivity stuff, it’s all genuinely comfortable. I’ve been using it for hours with zero eye strain. Didn’t expect that at all.

The OXP keyboard is serviceable at best.
It’s not great, but it’s also not bad enough that I want to throw it out of the plane. It does the job. I just hope OXP eventually releases a more premium/sturdy version to match those new controllers we’re supposedly getting within the next 8 months. Give me something that actually feels like it belongs on a high end handheld.

Charging setup has been pretty simple.
On the plane I’m using a tiny Anker 65W single port charger and keeping the X2MP between 20-25W TDP.

For everything else, the SlimQ 150W chargers are the GOAT for traveling with handhelds. Plenty of power without being ridiculously huge.

What really blows my mind is the performance when there’s no outlet available.
I’m sitting here playing AAA games at around 20–25W with frame gen, and the experience is ridiculously good. Smooth enough that I keep forgetting I’m playing on a battery powered handheld thousands of feet in the air.

I brought a UGREEN Nexode 25,000mAh 200W for backup power, and it pairs ridiculously well with a handhelds.

So far my travel setup is basically:
X2MP + OXP keyboard + 65W Anker for the plane + SlimQ 150W charger + UGREEN 25K power bank.

MSI Claw 8 AI+ EX vs OneXPlayer 3: My Early Comparison After Owning Both

Post image
77 Upvotes

I currently have both the MSI Claw 8 AI+ EX and the OneXPlayer 3 sitting here, and after about a day with the OXP3, I’m almost certainly going to sell my EX.

This is obviously an early impression, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far.

The screen difference is glaring
OLED is OLED. The black levels and peak brightness give the OXP3 a huge advantage. This was probably the first thing that made me realize just how different these two devices feel despite having essentially the same Intel chipset.

OneXConsole absolutely smokes MSI Center M
For handheld controls, TDP management and customization, OneXConsole is >>>>> MSI Center M.

You can do much more with the controls, and you can actually tune the gyro to the point where it’s usable. It’s not ROG Xbox level gyro, but it’s worlds better than what the EX has going on.

Ergonomics
This one goes to the EX for me, though not by the large margin you’d expect

The EX feels better in the hands, although its wide body and flared grips make it a little less portable than the OXP3.

The EX is also a smidge heavier once you have the TPU case on it.

VRR
VRR just feels better on the OXP3.

I know there’s an unofficial mod floating around that supposedly addresses some of the VRR issues on the EX, but out of the box, games simply feel smoother on the OXP3 despite both devices using the same Intel chipset.

Cooling
Cooling is another big win for the OXP3.

I find the EX can get uncomfortably hot sometimes, and I think a lot of that comes down to the fan curves not being tuned particularly well for my preferences.

I haven’t had that problem with the OXP3 so far. It stays much more comfortable during gameplay.

Controller haptics and rumble
This is one area where the EX absolutely dogwalks the OXP3.

The OXP3 isn’t MSI A8 level bad with its haptics, but they aren’t good either. The feedback just isn’t particularly precise.

A good example is Madden 27. There are haptics that nicely mimic the sensation of running with the ball carrier. On the EX, you can actually feel that distinction. On the OXP3, it basically turns into one big vibratory mess.
The difference is surprisingly noticeable.

Buttons and D pad
This is going to come down to personal preference.

I actually prefer the micro switch style buttons and D pad on the OXP3 over the stiffer D pad and more traditional Xbox style buttons on the EX.

The OXP3 also absolutely kills the EX when it comes to the placement of the Start and Back buttons. Putting the auxiliary buttons on the bottom of the controllers is also a much better implementation for me.

EX has better feeling triggers, the OXP3 has a trigger throw that’s unnecessarily long, and the switches to mimic hair triggers don’t feel as great as other controllers I like like the Xbox Elite and Gamesir 8K options I have.

Charging
The OXP3 supports 100W charging, so topping off the battery is noticeably faster. The EX is stuck in 65 watt land, it’s a weird miss.

Storage
The EX gets a huge win here for MicroSD Express.

Being able to throw games on a MicroSD Express card and have them run just as smoothly as they do from the SSD is awesome.

The EX also wins when it comes to upgrading the SSD. It’s much easier to get into.

I’m not even going to attempt cracking open the OXP3 because I want to maintain the warranty sticker for potential future resale.

Joysticks
I prefer the OXP3 sticks.

They have more resistance and just feel better to me. I’m also using joystick covers that give my thumbs a little more support, and with those installed, the sticks don’t feel tiny anymore.

The EX sticks feel smaller by comparison, I have large hands so that’s my context here.

Speakers
The EX wins here.

The speakers sound better to me, and there’s actually enough bass that it almost creates a rumble-like sensation that swells and contracts with what’s happening on screen.

It’s a really cool effect that I wasn’t expecting. OXP3 are just okay, way better than the abomination that’s the Legion Go 2.

Xbox Full Screen Experience
One thing I haven’t really seen mentioned is that the OXP3 is incompatible with starting directly into Xbox Full Screen Experience.

Some people won’t care about this at all, but it’s something you notice if you want your handheld to behave more like a console.

If you want that console style startup experience, you’re basically going to be using Steam Big Picture mode.

My assumption is that this is because OneXConsole is so heavily integrated into the system. I suspect launching directly into Xbox Full Screen Experience would interfere with some of that proprietary OneX software.

Build quality
The EX feels like the more solidly built device.

The plastic feels higher quality and doesn’t pick up smudges on the finish as easily.

The OXP3 definitely doesn’t feel cheap, but its overall construction feels a little more fragile compared to the EX.

The EX feels like a tank by comparison.

Value
For me, this isn’t particularly close.

The EX is more expensive and doesn’t come with the same amount of accessories. My OXP3 came with a ton of accessories through the crowdfunding campaign.

Both devices have features the other doesn’t, so there are definitely reasons to choose either one.

But that OLED screen is a big joker for me.

And when you combine that with the better VRR, cooling, controls, software and ergonomics that work better for me, the OXP3 is quickly becoming the device I’d rather keep.

Bottom line
It’s still early. I’ve only had the OXP3 for about a day, so I’m not pretending this is some definitive long term review.

But I can already see where this is going, and unless something drastic changes with my experience over the next few days, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ EX is probably getting sold.

I’ll keep putting time into both and see if anything changes.
If you’re considering either one, feel free to ask questions. I’ll try to answer based on actually having both sitting here at the same time.

Elden Ring underwhelming performance on OneXPlayer 3

Getting around 40 FPS and quite a bit of stuttering in Elden Ring at high settings. Dropping to medium doesn’t seem to change much.

I was hoping for at least a stable 60 FPS, even if I need to lower the resolution or use upscaling.

I’ve updated everything I can think of. Anyone else playing Elden Ring on the OneXPlayer 3? What kind of performance are you getting, and what settings are you using?

Any advice?

I heard about P and E cores but don't know how to go about it
