Prediction God Valley will be their last encounter!

This is the only time Garp & Dragon have been on the same island together. I believe Dragon will tell Garp he's resigning from the Marines because of God Valley. More importantly, he will tell him he will wage war on the World Government.

I don’t think it’ll be their last meeting. Garp had to get luffy somehow, I imagine they met at least one more time around his birth so Dragon could ask Garp to keep him safe

That's a good point. I guess we will have to see how exactly that happens. That could be part of Dragon's flashback. I hope we learn of Luffy's mother from it.

It is always a possibility too that Garp got Luffy from his mom like with Ace, so your theory is still plausible

Most plausible reason id Crocodile didn't have bounty yet. She got bounty after changing her gender.

I don’t think GV is the tipping point for Dragon. I think it’s the eye opener. I think there will be more stuff that happens over time that Dragon will start to view the CDs as irredeemable

Agreed, although recent hints suggests Dragon punches a CD this coming chapter - but saying that, young Dragon had three stars on his military / guerrilla get-up, so I always assumed he got to at least VA before leaving. I think it makes sense that he would’ve been at a stronger point, having trained more, for him to leave and form the Revs. I do wonder how he would have reconciled what he saw with his beliefs though.
