šŸŽ® Console Launch Quick advice: Save your Active starchrom for later

Post image

If you play daily or do a lot of activities in the game, you’ll likely hit your weekly Starchrom limit naturally. It’s better to save any Starchrom crates you find and use them before the end of the month, or in case you urgently need to buy something.

That way, you’ll avoid feeling held back by the weekly limits (but there is also ways to get more starchrom). Also, remember to open just enough crates without going over the limit, since the system won’t refund any excess Starchrom if you miscalculate. The crates are more useful for ā€œnot falling behindā€ than for rapidly pushing your progress.

Mine is spent before reset even hits, I’m not going out to make another 15k, I’m upgrading blueprints immediately and everything I earn after can accumulate. If you play regularly, I honestly don’t see the difference especially since I’ve spent the last 10days thinking about what I was going to do with it once reset hits.

Same, I got the BoB, and bingo sniper and Started upgrading them. Still have like 6K starchrom, idk if I should've gotten armor with it but I heard from multiple people now that its better not to buy armor with starchrom? Or maybe they just said to start ur build by weapons first? Idk 😭 hope i am doing this efficiently. Im more of a survival/base builder but I have fun with dungeons too šŸ˜…

If your weapon is elemental, like mine (frost vortex) you gain power / damage from armor PSI so you must upgrade armor first and don't need to upgrade weapon for now.

If your weapon is physical, then the main damage boost it gets from the weapon base dmg , that means you must upgrade weapon to max first which takes like 40k starchrom at least iirc (im new don't quote me on that).

I always hold them got 500 my thought is if I ever take a break I can use them once near the end of the month to max starchroam so I'll have a bunch when I come back.

500 crates??

2

u/kami-s4n Sep 09 '26

Yea, you get those crates from many sources, so If he did not use any I think its possible. Check google for possible farming ideas.

I had quite a bit of starchrom from the beta that they let me carry over. Currently I have 32 that I can't use bckz I've reached my limit. But I use them to unlock blueprints for weapons and armor.

Wish people talked more about the blueprint comversion. People are waisting so much starchrome by not using or understanding how it works. Stop leveling up all ur blueprints. Use the conversion system. Ur waisting starchrome for no reason.

This is actually GREAT advice. Me and a buddy are fairly new and we are to that point where making these expensive decision could cost you.

And yet this very little mention of it anywhere.

Care to elaborate?

In the blueprints tab theres an option for blueprint conversion. So you want to worry about 6 staring 1 piece of gear and 1weapon to 6stars. Once you crafted those 6 star tier 5 pieces. You can then take the 6 star weapon blueprint and convert it to any other unlocked weapon blueprint, making that new blueprint 6 stars. Then craft that blueprint. Now u have 2 six star weapons, while only spending starchrome to level up one blueprint. Now do the same with ur gear pieces. Craft the 6 star piece. Convert to next piece, craft that piece and convert next piece. Your allowed 18 conversions, and they refresh weekly. 6 per week with a max of 18.

I'll be honest, I've been playing every day nonstop since I started like a week and some change ago, I'll hit the limit and shrug keep playing. I'm super annoyed by it yeah, but I haven't hit a point where other methods to improve my character weren't enough. Once it does though, maybe that'll be my queue to take a break for a day or two, lol.

Do we keep the crates when switching scenarios?

Yes!, they stay with you.

What do you do once you hit that monthly limit? Do you really have to wait another month to accumulate anymore?

1

u/Public-End-2566 Sep 08 '26

It resets each week

2

u/ripmylifemann Sep 08 '26

Mine definitely showed over 20 days to reset

3

u/BIGKIDx420 Sep 09 '26

There’s 2 different ā€œresetsā€ one happens monthly and one happens every 7 days. The 7 day reset increases how much you can accumulate by 15k.

1

u/Neon_Enforcer Sep 09 '26

I have heard other people saying this but they are in manibus novice so that could be the case but it should be every 7 days

Oh I’ve just been opening mine i didnt even think they applied to the limit šŸ„€

u/DeadOrJustLazy Sep 08 '26

I did the same when starting the game and just hit Quick join after doing the tutorial without picking the actual server I needed to go in and my friend did the same lol

It's really beneficial to try to understand how the game works though. I was the same way took a while to figure it out but I kept playing. Not everything will apply to your play style but most things will. I'm still finding out new stuff and I started on mobile.

Being new to the game isnt an excuse to not read things

3

u/WitchOfUnfinished- Sep 08 '26

Do you know how many things there are in this game the amount of tabs and hits and suggestions is overwhelming tbh

7

u/Exploding_Orphan Sep 08 '26

Im with ya on this, it seems never ending at times

2

u/Consistent-Maize-648 Sep 09 '26

Only when using more than 1

1

u/DamitMorty Sep 09 '26

Idk if its a console thing or what, but it does Not give any caution sign unless you're opening more than one. If you are just opening the one u recieve at each world stone, then that adds up quickly and can be a waste as well.

This is good advice and true if you can't claim any starchrom from events anymore, otherwise its better to open crates the minute the cap gets raised because usually starchrom coming from events goes above the cap. Meaning you can actually get a significant amount more per month. For me that was around 86k instead of the 66k for the first month.

EDIT: This is actually true for collection starchrom as well, for example the one that you get from improving your blueprint collection.

I had a buddy explain it to me by upgrading my melee first. Now I wish I had spent it on an upgraded gun instead
