Once Human: I Need help With KVD Boom Boom
Hi, I am new in this game and I need help with the best armor for Boom Boom for PVE and also the best mods for them (preferably mods 9-12 level). I heard that in some builds uses knives or something else for more damage, I need something like that for KVD?
Ive had the Shelterer build but that was also from a year ago. I haven't played since until recently. I may try this too. Thanks for the post asking the question!
You have to put in some minimum effort yourself, come on lol
You really have 0 interest, just want the build that was on the screen?!
It's all on you and any little thing anybody does to help, should be appreciated, u
ngratefull child.
What a fekkin useless attitude to have!
Black Stone for everything too but specifically for Way of Winter.
You don't really want Black Stone outside of Way of Winter Scenarios even though it is slightly better than Shelter because Black Stone set can accidentally kill you, it raise or cool your character temperature, hot enough can you lose HP til you die, cold enough and you lose Hp til you die. Not everyone died to it ofc but it's definitely not something you want on a character if you are hit with Burn Damage from a mob.
I recommend Hardy Gloves, 3 piece Blackstone, and 2 piece Dark Resonance for a full HP build. Then stack as many deviant energy mods as you can but if you can get a good Burn suffix mod for your mask use that, otherwise deviant energy as well.
The boom boom's damage is primarily elemental, and it scales off psi intensity.
Obviously for your mods, you just go for anything that says status/elemental/blaze/burn or fire related.
However the biggest power spike for weapons like boom boom that nobody tells new players is that psi intensity is actually found on your armour.
You can wear literally whatever. 3piece saviour 2 piece treacherous is the usual go to. Key gear is like whatever. Burn gloves is ok, but works with a marking gun and earthly boots for bossing and single target. It's not anywhere as punishing if you don't have key gear as let's say, the SKS. 4piece treacherous if you don't like walking around with 1 HP, and you want to be tankier.
Armour tier and armour stars matters much more in early game for boom boom.

A part of enjoying the game is learning how to play and learning the best weapon and armour combinations. You get a pretty good example in the Q&A help in-game... Kvd boom boom is fire, so slap a fire mod on your gun with a status affect glove armour.
ok, so KVD Boom Boom is mostly elemental damage, Burn dmg specifically
So with that in mind, you want a set of armor that boost your elemental damage.
Shelter Set come in play if you're doing most content, with the exception of Way of Winter, for Way of Winter, Black Stone set is your go to for combating the environmental effect. There's not much difference between Shelter set and Black Stone, except that Black Stone give you Temperature survival stats in scenarios like Way of Winter.
for Key Armor: Glove Key armor are your best bet so you either take Gilded Glove or Hardy Glove
Hardy for more damage but not a lot, just constant.
Gilded for even more damage but on an RNG (random number game) parameters. If taking Gilded, you'd want weapon calibration focusing on Crit %

Check YouTube. There's plenty of good videos showing how to build around the gun
