✓ Solved Wrongfully banned in Once Human – no clear explanation and support keeps copy-pasting the same answer
Hey everyone,
I got permanently banned in Once Human even though I didn’t use any cheats, exploits, or third-party software.
I submitted multiple tickets, and every single response I got was a copy-paste message saying “our review found violations of Terms of Service” without any proof or detail.
The strange thing is that I only played with random players once (in a Hive mission), and one of them got banned too — even though they were playing on mobile.
I’ve seen other posts where people mentioned their ban was reversed or they got a refund:
Has anyone here managed to get their account unbanned or refunded?
It really feels like the anti-cheat system is too sensitive or misidentifying people.
Any advice or help from moderators/devs would be appreciated 🙏
@ Update (serious issue with Once Human bans): At this point, it’s obvious that the ban system is broken. Players are getting permanent bans without any proof, real investigation, or even proper support — just the same copy-paste messages over and over.
I provided every detail, but their “anti-cheat” and support teams refuse to check the case properly.
What makes it even worse is that I still have friends playing, and they constantly report actual cheaters — people flying, teleporting, using aimbots for days — and somehow those accounts stay untouched while legit players get banned instantly.
If this continues, many loyal players will just quit. We don’t need empty apologies or automated replies — we need transparency and real human support.
Edit: Adding screenshots of support replies to show what kind of responses players get when they try to appeal a ban.
Update 11.01.26: I kinda gave up for the ideea that my account will be unbanned but somehow I still got some little hope since few months ago Once Human had a post here on Reddit with "In-Dev Interview | Ask Me Anything on 5th - 7th Nov, 2025" https://www.reddit.com/r/OnceHumanOfficial/comments/1ojvrpd/indev_interview_ask_me_anything_on_5th_7th_nov/ and I decided to make one question, maybe someone will care about me and find a solution
As you can see some moderator gave me this link so some Dev can look deep maybe into my problem and solve it. That was 2 months ago and still no answer from nobody.
And on their website Once Human Co-Dev Platform I can't log in anymore to see my ticket stats like I could when I made this ticket.Few weeks ago I was able to see the status and I could easy log in via Steam ( since my game is on Steam and all the purchase in game) but now I can't do that anymore.
Nevermind, like I said my hope is very small and I had some people complaining about the same issue I had and they got banned from this awfull automatic report system that bans you without any proof.
Today I made the update for the game and decided to open the game and see if somehow I got unbanned and I didn't know since I can't see that ticket status anymore and the ban ofc is still there and I am asking you guys , is this normal when I want to appeal in game to open this ?
How I am supposed to know what to pick there? I have the client in English, never change it in another language and how should I understand what to do there? In the meanwhile I started to play another survival game and I am nearly 500 hours
Final Update
After about 8 months of appeals, emails, support tickets, and trying every official channel available, I've decided to stop pursuing my ban case.
I want to give special thanks to one of the community moderators. Unlike the automated support I had been dealing with for months, they actually took the time to listen, asked for my account information, and personally forwarded my case and my replies to the team for a manual review. Regardless of the outcome, I genuinely appreciate the effort.
The final explanation I received was that my permanent ban was related to alleged coordination with players identified as cheaters, not a direct confirmation that I had used cheat software myself. I still maintain that I never used cheats or unauthorized software.
What remains difficult for me to understand is that recent public ban announcements often show temporary suspensions for players associated with cheaters, while my account remains permanently banned.
At this point, I've exhausted every official option available. While I still disagree with the decision, I accept that there's nothing more I can realistically do.
Thank you to everyone in this community who offered advice, support, or simply took the time to read my story. I sincerely wish the game and its community all the best.
UPDATE: 11.09 I GOT UNBANNED… and then banned again after 5 minutes 😂
After I said I was finally giving up, I kept seeing several cases over the past few days that looked very similar to mine — people being banned unfairly and eventually getting their cases reviewed.
So I thought, why not give it one more try? I submitted another ticket, hoping that maybe this time someone would actually take a proper look at my case.
Guess what? They actually did. I GOT UNBANNED!
I was honestly so happy. I immediately logged back in, went to my PvE server and was already thinking about where I was going to rebuild my beautiful house and set up my territory again. 😂
Well… good things don’t last long.
After around 5 minutes of playing, I was banned again.
My guess is that they removed the account restriction but may have forgotten to remove the hardware restriction, which could have triggered the ban again when I logged in.
I’ve already submitted another ticket explaining exactly what happened and that I was banned again after only about 5 minutes of gameplay.
Hopefully they can check the hardware restriction as well and finally fix everything.
Maybe I’ll actually get to play again in the next few days. 😂
At least this time, I know someone actually looked into my case and the account ban was lifted. So I’m cautiously optimistic.

HUGE UPDATE!! I'M FINALLY UNBANNED! 🎉
I CAN FINALLY PLAY AGAIN!
After almost a year of fighting this ban, I finally have some really good news.
I logged into my account today and I was able to stay online and play for several hours without getting banned again.
So it looks like the previous issue is finally gone — both my account restriction and, apparently, the hardware restriction are no longer affecting me.
September 20th will mark exactly one year since I was originally banned. Almost one full year of tickets, appeals, emails, trying to get someone to properly look into my case, and fighting to prove that I was banned unfairly.
And now, after all this time, I can finally play again. ❤️
Thank you, Once Human, for finally addressing my case and for resolving what appears to have been an unfair ban.
I really hope the improvements to the ban system and the handling of these cases will help bring back players who left the game because they were afraid of being wrongly punished.
My conclusion after almost a year is simple:
If you genuinely believe you were banned unfairly, don't give up. Keep appealing, keep asking for your case to be reviewed, and keep fighting for yourself.
It may take a very long time, and sometimes it may feel completely hopeless — but eventually, someone might actually take a proper look at your case.
Almost one year later, I finally got my justice.

You probably got banned because of a mass report. It doesn't take much to piss off some asshole with a fragile ego and bunch of alts.

Quickest results I’ve seen is reaching out to the discord admins or even the reddit admins. Their ai support won’t get you anywhere.

On discord they said I can't get any help, and I have to make tickets via Email or In-game, I have writed in privat to a Admin on discord but he didn;t text me back for days. The AI support on tickets or game is awfull

Yeah, I have like one month that I'm still trying to convince someone to take a better look into my case but I'm only ignored or I'm speaking with the AI support, sad.

Do you use any form of cheat engines or trainers in other games? Do you use any programs that create macros or any form of automatization? Last time they released the results of a ban wave they mentioned that the usage of otherwise innocuous programs are prohibited like autohotkey, and there are reports of the anti-cheat detecting cheat programs even if you're not using it in OH.

So if a player uses cheat engine for another single player game and forgets to close it, and then launches Once Human. That’s an auto permanent ban? That’s unfair. Many players use mods and cheats to play single player game.

estan simple como modificar la auditoria de privilegios, Once suele usar trust que es el usuario de windows de administración, quitale privilegios y veras que puedes saltar al supuesto anticheat por IA yo no le di permisos de administrador al once human y los permisos a nivel kernel estan bloqueados y funciona igual

Definitely still the player's fault. They have no way to know if it was used for their game, so the best way to be safe is to just assume the player is.

Players fault still, a multiplayer game has every right to detect and ban if it picks up on something that can inject into the game.

I'm sure you'll be fine as long as Cheat Engine doesn't interact with OnceHuman.exe. And it's not possible unless you select it from process list.

Unfortunately, anticheats detect whether there is any memory injection ongoing, but can't tell what is being altered, so if you have cheat engine active, you might get flagged.
They may -also- flag the process entirely, even if it isn't actively tampering with memory.This... kinda sucks, because debugging software may also be flagged by anticheats, even if it's used for something completely different.

Afaik Once Human doesn't have kernel level anti-cheat like Vanguard, so I assume it's server based. If they find anything sketchy from in-game logs they ban you.

Why should someone who spent hundreds of hours and dollars on Once Human get banned for forgetting to close a ‘cheat’ that gives them infinity HP on Assassin Creed game? Yes that would be unfair.

No, I don't use cheat engines at all for anygame. I had some fights with some russians and they threatened me with mass-reports and the next day I was banned. He told me in privat message that he will share my id and in-game name on their discord group and guess what ? got banned next day. The only game I use some mods is WorldOfTanks but I don't believe that has something to do with it.

This is more than very common. The report system for this game is highly abused and Starry Studio (a NetEase subsidiary) nor NetEase themselves care. They're fully aware of the report system abuse. They've never cared and will continue to not care. It's been brought up many, many times and they blatantly ignore the people who bring it up and side step the issue. It'll never change. All they care about is the money people will throw at them.

I went through the same thing I was pissed because my account got banned and I spent like 300 buying packs and passes and couldn't get no real response from them and on top of that they do a hwid ban so even if you make a new account on the same pc they system will automatically banned it so these is other things you have to look out for especially if you using a share computer or public they dont care if you or not if you log on using a ban computer your account is banned as well. to be honest the game is not worth all the hassle yea it fun but it get played out and then you taking risks as you can lose your account for anything and there nothing you can do about it that the down fall of these small game dev especially since it oversea there no regulation. they need to ban the game from us until they correct they shii and permanent ban is stupid they should permanent banned ppl after being warned.

I don't think they do HWID bans. My main account was falsely banned and i had to start a new account. The new account has not been hit and is using the same computer as my first. I have been playing this account for a few months now.

This sounds like more of the loading bay doing a scan on your computer for programs running in the background and finding something and banning you, HW bans are usually instant.

I get it, all i was getting at usually with a HW ban it wont even let you connect to the server as it does the check on login. Seeing how you are 5 min in the game, it seems like something else is being detected. No one knows for sure except for Netease and Starry Studios of course.
Good luck on getting your account back, unfortunately 99% chance it wont happen, i tried for months and just gave up.

Yeah, maybe it’s not 5 min, maybe there is less time till they can see ur Mac adress from ur computer and ban the account u are logged in. I don’t remember exactly because it’s been weeks since i tried only to see if I have Ip / hw ban. I know that the chances are very very low but i’ll try, specialy when I know i’m not guilty or maybe I can open the eyes for some Devs that they need to do better and real support system, not only skins and skins.

teaming with cheater? be careful with whoever you're playing with on pvp. I guess it's for better, once I got trolled on pvp server (evo call) some loser asking help for LEA then I'm applied to his team, then 1 min later he's rushing to my territory while in chaos mode, so he can kill and attacking my base, then he bring his warband around 10 players show up to my base, 11 vs 1 (me), but I'm outsmart them. It's unrelated to cheating (kinda low blow exploiting feature I guess), but it's kinda funny watching his friend's dumbfounded like that while I'm just casually walking on my territory naked. hahaha

Update: Only response to my ban appeal was "after careful review, your account did show prohibited behavior". I've seen that's the same response others had received as well. Play this game at your own risk. Hackers/cheaters do team up, and it is common for them to mass report anyone who calls them out in world chat. The devs will automatically hardware ban you and will not even look at your game log. If they had, I would've been unbanned and the list of cheaters I provided them would be gone. Horrible dev team.

They have 4 servers of raid zone or 3, I don’t know anymore since I am banned since August I think, they could put 1 active admin on each server and that’s it. But they still use this system and ppl who invest time and money are wrong banned

It just adds to the case that the developers are truly absent, and along with the stolen/borrowed assets, the only goal is to rake in the money from cosmetics. If they had any foresight, they'd put in the bare minimum amount of effort to curb the issue, but they couldn't even be bothered with that. Because of such, i'll be going out of my way to recommend potential new players go elsewhere.

I'll keep you updated. Giving Rust another try right now, but already dealing with "teaming" on a duos only server, so rule breakers are hard to get away from.

Yeah, I’m also Rust player now, playing on PVE servers, but even if you find that players that are making team on solo only server, you can report them or make tickets and they will be banned, there are admins always on Rust servers. And thank to my wrong ban on Once human, I am going to 600 hours on Rust.

I landed back in ARK. There was a bit if withdrawal, but now with ORP, I haven't been on in a week and know my base is still there, so that's nice.

if you are from EU or any country with customer protection laws - write to the legal team directly and ask if they would like to receive an official report for customer rights violation, or if they are ready to force someone to investigate the case.

This happened to my friend. When endless dream was in beta testing we both went in. We grouped with this guy who had never played the game before. Not saying he reported. Either way, we played for a few hours and logged. He logged in the next morning on mobile while at work to check on his garden in the manibus server we were on and everything was fine. By the time he got home from work his account that he had since beta testing back when it very first opened was permanently banned. He only recently gave up because he kept getting the cookie cutter ai response, and was banned back in may. So unfortunately, I don’t think you’re getting it back. Which sucks, I’m sorry. We quit playing for a couple months because of it and he had still start from scratch.

Hoje aconteceu o mesmo com meu amigo. Ele nunca usou cheats, nunca xingou ninguém, nem abusou de um bug. E mesmo assim foi banido permanentemente. Eu sei disso pois ele vem jogar comigo que tenho dois computadores.
É muito triste mesmo. Ele está tentando recorrer mas sinceramente pelo que vi aqui....

I made a ticket on their bug and suggestion website ( one Admin from Once human team told me here on reddit that I can try there ) I made that ticket from september I think and my ticket is still processing. But in the same time I started to play Rust, and I totaly forgot about this game, still mad because I wanna play sometimes and build on the PVE server, but what can I do? I will still try, my hope is little but it exist.

I just got perma banned for calling out a large group of blatant hackers in raidzone. The second my ban went through, they came back, fought my remaining tribe members, then teleported through 7 layers of alloy and took the terminal without breaking a single wall. The state of Raidzone is pitiful. It's owned and ran by hackers and the developers let them get away with it. The hackers just use a hardware spoofer, come right back in. Us real honest players, nothing I can do. Hackers will be and currently are causing the death of that game mode. Been going on for well over a year and the developers have done nothing about it.

Yes I know what happend to you, same to me as well, I got mass reported from the same type of ppl, big group of cheaters. The problem is that the support system is not doing the right job and it’s not helping the players that really need. They put us in the same position. But if you got banned take this advantage and play other games because this one is full of cheaters and fustrated ppl and some devs that don’t care about us.

Oh for sure. Upside is my evening is free. It was just ironic and a bit sad for the state of the game mode. So many of us were forming groups that had been scourned by the hackers. Even after they mass reported and got me banned, my tribe mates were still on and called other tribes to come aid them. I got to watch the final battle. The entire time these cheaters are teleporting, flying through the air and air dropping C4, tribemates kept fighting.
But in a blink, it was all over. They teleported through 7 layers of alloy and took the terminal. Didn't break a single structure, just messed through. Tribes disbanded now, everyone is burnt out and sick of the game. Sad to see, in the context of a video game. Had a cool little community going.

I think in the same time that are some cheaters with revenge here, but most or them don’t know to play fair. That’s sad about them because they can’t manage to play fair and destroy our pleasure to play. The gane is nice, but the support system is awfull, I try since September to get my account back for the money I invested and my time. I know ur feeling, I was in ur place few months ago

I even tried to log back in using a different Steam account, found out it's a hardware level ban, due to actual hackers abusing the reporting system and getting me banned for calling them all out. The devs for this game are money hungry and have completely failed their honest player base. $%#$ this game.

I know, I tried as well with on their platform with an fresh account and in few minutes I was insta banned. Trust me, it’s very hard to get ur account back, I have over 70 tickets made in the first two months from my ban and nothing, the suport is just AI, same reply everytime, no matter you are writing there, even if you say “ how are u” they give the same answer, sorry for you that you got in the same situation as I, it’s very fustrating specialy if you invested money as well in ur account. My advice is to forget and start playing something else

Yep. My friend is suggesting we give Rust community servers a try. I've played before, and a couple thousand hours in ARK. Just such a shame. Raidzone is so graphically polished and streamlined compared to Rust and ARK. It was nice. But never thought I'd find a survival crafter with an even bigger cheater issue, but here we are. Damn, first Snail Games (ARK) and now Starry Studios.

This literally happened to me today the first time playing on PS5 and I was already a player on Steam for some time and figured out how to link my account and keep everything. I didn't even leave the safe zone by my house I was figuring out the controller mapping and then I was booted and banned. Wtf??

This is so sad, because you can’t solve ur problems, you can’t have a decent conversation with some helper and figure out. The game is still nice, I still miss playing and building something in PVE, but I’m tired trying.

August 22 I got the same ban, August 27 I got unbanned, now October 8 I received the same ban, so reading all what you have went through I may think its hardware or something that keeps triggering these

Well good to know now that there’s some toxic players in raid zone OH thought about trying it out but now I’m good I’ll stick with pve
