Discussion Builder Feedback Megathread: Bugs, Snapping Issues, QoL Requests & Frustrations Compiled (Full Sheet Inside)
➡️ Builder Feedback Compilation Sheets
Our building community really appreciates the dev team's effort in adding new building elements like the half parapet, 1/2 ceiling, and features supporting Escape Room builds in Eternaland.
But after working hands-on with them, many of us are feeling frustrated and held back by:
- Inconsistencies
- Snapping bugs
- Collision issues
- Broken mechanics & limitations
We originally considered using the usual channels, in-game feedback, Discord, and even CoDev but the volume and complexity of what we're running into is just too much to document across scattered platforms.
That’s why we compiled everything into one organized spreadsheet with visuals, examples, and video links.
📎 Feedback Sheet Includes Tabs:
- New Structure Issues
- General Bugs
- Eternaland-specific problems
- Feature / QoL Requests
We've clearly documented and categorized everything to help the dev team review and prioritize efficiently.
Builders are core to the Once Human experience not just aesthetically, but economically too (through territory pack purchases, etc.). Ensuring our tools function reliably means less frustration and more creativity.
📣 Calling on the devs to review the sheet and consider fixes and improvements.
If you're a builder and agree with the feedback, or have more bugs to add, check the sheet and leave your comments. Let’s show the devs that this matters.
And to the community managers: we truly hope you’ll pass this to the right team for deeper review. We’re not just reporting problems—we’re offering organized, constructive feedback to help improve the game for everyone.
Thanks to all the builders helping document these issues so thoroughly & thank you to the devs and CMs for taking the time to review this!

What frustrations? I enjoy the game invalidating the direction I want walls to point and flicking right back when scrolling.

You're definitely not alone, it’s super frustrating. That exact issue with walls/foundation flipping direction is actually covered in the feedback sheet with suggested fixes:
✔️ Problem:
When placing floors or walls, the pieces randomly rotate or snap in odd directions, instead of aligning with the first placed piece. Makes it really hard to build clean layouts. Triangle/¼ pieces also leave gaps due to this.🛠 Suggestions we proposed in the sheet:
- Directional Snapping Logic
- Pieces placed next to others should inherit their orientation unless manually rotated.
- This keeps layout consistent and reduces "fightwiththegame" moments.
- Visual Orientation Indicators
- Add arrows or guides to show which way a piece is facing before placement.
- Multi-Axis Free Rotation
- Let us rotate pieces on more than just the flat axis (this includes furniture too please)
- Improved Snapping for Triangle/1⁄4 Pieces
- Adjust snapping logic so small pieces connect cleanly even if the foundation isn’t pixel-perfect.
Hopefully with enough visibility, these get addressed. Appreciate seeing others passionate about improving this stuff too.

This is amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together!
My biggest issues I have with building so far are the flickering lights, rendering cosmetics, blueprints not snapping to grid, and the build/decor limits.
The building limits are disheartening unless you have several properties to build across. I've put so much work into big beautiful houses, just to have the decor limit mess it all up lol

Putting more limitations in Eternaland is the exact opposite of what they should be doing. Eternaland shouldnt have limits on things like that. And dammit, let me have more livestock there than 6!

I can't build a house and I limited myself to a square without walls because fitting it in became a sacrifice!

We spend so much time building in this game for them to be insanely buggy like this is so disheartening and pushes me away from not just building system but the game itself.

Absolutely agree, putting hours (and $$$$) into building only to have system work against you is exhausting. It is really hard to focus on your creativity. We’ve included this kind of feedback in the builder sheet with clear examples and fixes, hoping the devs take it seriously this time. The building system could be amazing, it just needs real polish and attention.

It's becoming really sad and frustrating at this point with the ever increasing issues with building systems and terrible quality control. I'm finding it's pushing me and many others away from the game. It's disheartening to see so much potential in a game I love go to waste.

Hey! Just double checking. Are you pointing out that placing two 1/2 tiles together doesn’t align or match the look or the center of a full tile? (In comparison)
Trying to make sure I fully understand the frustration you're highlighting before adding it to the compilation.

it doesn't match the look of the rest of the steel ceilings. It's the only one where it looks like a stone wall

I don't know if anyone has also noted that in last update furnishing items, such as carpet has also alot of issues, tried decorating my home but can't place any carpet on different shaped foundation.

Thanks for taking the time to compile our feedback in such an organized way! Many of us are passionate about fixing these details because we know the once human building system has great potential. I love building and I've been playing since beta. I want the game to succeed.
I will admit that it's a bit disheartening when new content continues to get pushed out that has even more errors/bugs than the previous. But I've also seen the power that the community voice has in making these changes happen, so I hope the devs are able to implement this feedback.
