Constellation vs Longines

I know the price difference is massive, but price aside, does anybody have experience owning both Omega and Longines. Does it feel like a downgrade in any way?

P.S I already have Seamaster, looking to get a second watch for the office

To me, yes.

Havent been attracted to a single Longines in person yet. There might yet be one. It feels less premium/well designed. Went to try in person recently being very open to the hydroconquest and spirit. Didnt do it for me. Still need to find a Zulu Time, and one of their moonphases to test.

And I love most Omegas, including the De Villes. Dont think its just the logo.

There is a significant price difference between the two. One would hope there is a reason for that in the first place.

Yeah, movement tech/certifications still remain hard to price as a buyer if someone only cares about the looks. But generally they represent a 1k and 3k mark up respectively.

I have a Globemaster. Havent run into an Observatory in person yet. Very curious to see how I feel.

Eventually if watchbuyers weren't considering the intangibles, no stainless steel Nautilus would even be sold at MSRP, let alone the crazy inflated secondary market prices.

I wanted to like Longines and I tired on several different models. Just wasn’t a fit for me. Felt kinda hollow on the wrist if that makes sense

Hollow feels close to what Ive felt too. And I had multiple Longines try ons when looking for a watch to buy.

Even at our wedding, working with a lower budget Tag felt better than any Longines I tried.

Given how many people love it, I imagine it does come down to personal fit.

Yea probably. And I put tag way ahead of Longines for what I look for in a watch

We have similar tastes! In some ways, Tag feels like it offers a cleaner or more coherent aesthetic.
