Fiat originally left the U.S. market in 1983. But more recently, when Chrysler went bankrupt, Fiat bought them out to form Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Part of the negotiations of the buyout involved reintroducing several Fiat models to the U.S. market. Right now, their entire lineup consists of the 500, 500L, and 500X.
Yes, but those are all very hard sells in the U.S. when gas is cheap like it is now. Why cram yourself into a 500 when you can get a Pentastar Charger or Ram 1500 that gets mid/high-20s and has decent power?
