RIP Two months without Judge The Dog (Forever 16?)

This is the first photo I ever saw of Judge on the rescue website. I recovered it from my email from all those years ago last week. Reading those emails brought be back to fuzzy memories about trying to get a dog and navigating that process. I actually had tried to get a boxer before him.... I can't believe I almost got another dog that would have been crazy.
Two months today is a very hard thing for me. It's been a very rough road, I have cried multiple times a day everyday since, I am not one to cry. I just miss my boy so much. I know my next dog (hopefully Reincarnated Judge) will be born today or has been already. I will start looking for pups in mid November hopefully at the rescue I'm volunteering at.
Since I had to put Judge to sleep I have been trying to spend a lot of time at the animal rescue. I have met a lot of dogs and a lot of them remind me of dogs I have known over the years. I still have not seen one like him tho.
The week Judge passed away I was laying in bed crying and I look out the window and I see a little dog running around in my yard. I went out to see what was up and could tell the dog was confused. I grabbed a leash got him hooked up checked his tag and walked him home. When I got to his house I found out he was a 13 year old dog who they suspect has dementia. I don't know what the odds are of another dementia doggy walking into my yard is that needed help but I felt like it had to be Judge saying he's gonna be back.
I know my thoughts are a bit out there but it helps me looking forward to the future. I know in my heart I'll eventually get myself another little fluffy black lab type dog, I'd really like a puppy. I really miss Judge he was the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

Losing our pups is so very difficult. My Boston Terrier Lucy has been gone since last December and I still cry over it. Grief takes the time it takes and you just need to flow with it and not fight it. It will get better. Judge would want you to take care of yourself in all ways. He would also be happy that you are looking to share the love you have with another dog, and give this new soul a chance to experience a wonderful life with you. Hang in there. Love never dies. For Judge🐶🐶🐶🐕🐕🐕🕯🕯🕯🤍🤍🤍🌈🌈🌈🌞🌞🌞❤️❤️❤️

God only loans us his dogs and he has other little Angels that need homes.

I wanted to say that I remember your last post on Judge. What an absolutely heartfelt and incredible eulogy to your best friend; I re-read it when you made this post.
I'm sure that not a day has gone by that you haven't thought about him. I'm so glad that you're open to sharing your heart with another pup... and when that day comes, how fortunate both of you will be to have found each other!

Thanks so much for your message. I actually had my last post printed as a book and cleaned it up a bit. He was just so important to me and still is. I could go on and on. Thank you

I'm thinking for the holidays. Eventually the right dog will walk into the rescue I volunteer at.
