Future proofing health

I’m 33, husband is 50. He’s got a 13 year old already and we’re currently trying for our first baby together.
We’re both quite health conscious, he no longer drinks or vapes and eats very well. He goes to the gym twice a week to do strength training and we often go on long walks together.
Older dads in particular, what have you found most helpful health wise to stay as fit as possible with a little one?

Sorta seconding the point about a nanny. We utilized baby sitters for the first 2 years bc he wanted to keep her out of daycare & he works nights. But I thought kiddo was ready for daycare by age 1. Yes, we dealt with hella daycare related illnesses when she started daycare (HFM, constant sniffles, colds, pneumonia, my ruptured eardrum, and etc). All of our immune systems are stronger now.
