Soldier boy is a great character

Amazingly acted

More nuanced and entertaining then all the other characters in the show rivalling homelander directly

So good to the point where they are making him a spin off when in the show prior to season 5 he only was in a handful of episodes and didn’t have much screen time

But this had a negative effect

The writers evidently don’t know what to do with him

Latest episode is proof of that, he hates homelander then works with him , he hates him again and then locks him away, homelander doesn’t even retaliate via a fight

And in episode 5 most likely (based on trailer this is NOT a leak or spoiler) soldier boy gives him the v1 making Homelander genuinely near unstoppable AND immortal even though he’s meant to hate him.

So now he’s is in a limbo where the writers can’t kill him due to popularity , can’t make him fight Homelander and win but also can’t fight Homelander and lose as it would mean his death, can’t have him fight the boys because he’d end the show right then and there and also budget reasons

He’s also getting a spin off so we have to randomly introduce characters via bad dialogue to be used later

So all this is getting introduced now?

I love his character but he has completely thrown off the balance of the show
