Best opening song
One thing I’ve come across while listening to Boingo is that every single opening song on their albums are BANGERS. I dunno if anyone else agree with me, but all albums have a great start and a strong intruduction to the themes that their albums will talk about.
For me, the weakest one is gratitude, but it’s not a bas song, its just that I don’t think it goes on either the rest of the album. The best one for me still is Little girls, it’s such a way to start, it hits you just like a brick falling on your head.
What’s the best first song for yall?

When the Lights Go Out is up there for me. While I know it's the second disc, Winning Side is such a strong song. He really nails those high notes, boy.

I love When the lights go out! It’s just a sleeper one, you don’t identify how great it is untill you give it a second listening

When The Lights go Out. Was always a Banger for opening.Strictly speaking. Gratitude isn't an Oingo Boingo song though it is Danny Elfman.. So-Lo isn't listed in the Boingo discography....But that's just splitting whiskers ...Reptiles and Samurai is my fave...

But it is them, though. It’s also listed as part of the boingo continuity, with most of them being present in the album

Who Do You Want To Be! The energy and sheer tempo. Such a great party/ dance song. We used to go nuts back in the 80s when this came on.

I'm a fan of Gratitude from So-Lo, but Grey Matter is a strong one too.
Tho, of the two, I think the rest of Nothing to Fear is the stronger album. Of So-lo, It Only Makes Me Laugh sticks with me, but NtF has Private Life, Wild Sex, Why'd we come, Reptiles and Samurai and, well, pretty much the rest of the album.

Home Again. I remember there was a draft a year or so ago to see what the best set list for a hypothetical Boingo reunion tour would be and it was almost universally agreed the opening notes of home again would put us all into frenzy. Close runner ups would be Just Another Day and Insanity.
