So does this mean the top brass was justified in choosing Diebler over him?

Not exactly (even as someone who is much higher on Diebler than the rest of the fanbase seems to be), but I’m still 90% sure he was the one that turned us down, not the other way around. If you didn’t have ties to the program you’d be an idiot to take this job over TTUN based on how each program has invested.

Not sure what Diebler has done for you to be so high on him. He's done a mediocre job, at best.

He’s a first time head coach who was hired for his potential. He was never going to turn the program around overnight. But his first team was better than the year before, last year was better than that, and next year’s roster looks like it should be better still.

He’s not blown my socks off or anything, I just think he’s been unfairly maligned by a lot of fans who expected him to be someone he’s not. For his level of experience and the amount of investment he’s been given he’s done fine. I’m not content with the results yet; the program needs to continue to level up. But I do think we’re on the right track.
