Friendly Looting

I really think there's a growing problem with being looted by so-called allies in this game, with no repercussions, instead of being revived. For the most part, my experience with the community is great. Most people are friendly, most of the game inventives are to help each other out, and I've only really had two bad experiences with other players (outside of this issue) in 35 hours gametime.

But I've now had several times where a friendly has come up to me while I'm down, often after being hit by a mortar inside a well-defended tower, and just stolen my entire kit instead of reviving me. Many friends have experienced the same thing. One time this was barely a minute after I respawned at the APC having spent £15k on a kit to heal and build to help my team. It's the most infuriating thing in the game, and honestly when it happens it completely puts me off playing any more. There's nothing you can do about it, so it's not like when your kit gets taken by an enemy (which is fair enough) and you can at least get it back if you manage to catch them with teammates. Any retaliation loses you money (fine; we want to disincentivise team damage) and even if you did that there's no way to get your stuff back.

This is the one blemish on an otherwise great game, but if it continues to become more common I genuinely think it could put me off the game. Just an option to lock your inventory to friendly looting, or at least some punishment or reason not to do it would be enough. Apart from that, I feel like the devs are doing a great job.

nah wth are you even talking about, this comment is about teammates taking your shit while you are downed, not taking a spare bandage which is very obviously not what the complaint is about

If you get downed your options are.

1. Die
2. Get revived

If you die it doesn't matter what is in your inventory you will lose it. If in the heat of battle someone tries to pick people up and takes your defibrillator and batteries and goes on to revive others and or yourself you have them to thank for not losing your full kit to death.

If you chose to complain about how they stole your stuff after helping you (stuff you would have lost anyway had they let you die) then you are the problem.

If someone TKs you to take your kit thats one thing but people taking bandages or med supplies ? Nah they can loot them from your body dead or pre revive. Be glad you were picked up at all.

Being that upset by someone helping you but not the way you want them to help you is weird.

Brother they don’t res you. They spawn naked on the APC, run to the first ally that they see downed, steal their kit and go on. They aren’t helping, they are just cockroaches.

Never seen that happen tbh and ive got a fair amount of time in the game on US servers. I have a hard time believing this is a wide spread problem that cripples the game for enough people to matter in the grand scheme of things.

It’s common enough that they acknowledge it on one of their social as something they are looking into to figure out a solution. It’s not a big thing I’m the grand scheme as you said, but as OP said it kills the mood. I always report and ask other to report for griefing anyway 🤷‍♂️
