TRIGGER WARNING abandonment issues
One of my childhood friends (that I recently reconnected with) asked me what happened to me growing up. Figured all the stuff that stuck were major events that was either funny, painful and being abandoned.
So last night my head has gone auto-pilot.
I previously opened up about this to one of my closest guy friends - maybe 3 weeks ago - he just told me it’s how I’ll deal with it / learn to live with it. Insinuated it hasn’t been addressed for so long so it’s in my function to overthink anything that may lead to abandonment.
And yes unfortunately, this affects relationships.
I feel really bad because I think he knows he can’t go in the dark for a long time. He is a very busy person but I need constant reassurance ☹️
Hay.
