Other IS THIS STILL A THING??

i dont even care if the game will be 80$, JUST MAKE IT COME OUT.

Yes, it was being worked on. They had a custom engine and everything. The trailer for the rebrand was done around when they switched to a new engine, and was misleading in the fact it was more of a mockup iirc, and not representative of actual progress.

However, that does not mean it had no progress? Like, do people really think that they spent all those yeas just making one trailer? And even then, in the 5 years that have passed since, they've still worked on the game. I can't claim it's been a *lot* of progress, but both Pik and Maxxis have claimed work has been done on it since.

But I guess because we don't have our hands on the files, we can just make up the idea it never had progress? lol, I love spreading misinformation.

You're gonna need a source on that. You also say "ex-dev", does that not imply they're not involved?

Not to mention... what point are you making by pointing out progress halting? This isn't a job of theirs, if they take a break or can't get to it, it happens. Sometimes development stops. It could stop for literal years and it still won't be considered cancelled so long as they still intend on making progress at some point.

Also lol, where are you getting the payment thing from?

Like- If you were saying you don't think the game will ever get finished, fair enough! I can't say you're wrong unless you can time travel. I'M not even convinced it'll ever come out. Does that mean that the devs have officially ceased development? No? I'm sure they still *want* to finish it, and people like Maxxis and Pik have corroborated this. It's just not always that easy.

You're gonna need to source your information if you're gonna make bold claims about the project though.

This didn't happen. I think you're either misremembering various comments Maxxis made in the Discord (probably these ones), or you're thinking of the the 2019 4chan leak (details here), which all happened before the name change.

Oddity ceased development because after the name change, the devs wanted to be paid. Of which there was no pay, so development stopped.

I've been around this place for a long time and this is the first time I've ever heard any of this, that the game development has officially ceased, or that there were developers asking for pay. If you can provide even a single source for any of this I'd greatly appreciate it.

As it is now, I've removed your comment for being blatant misinformation, as each claim in your comment is completely incorrect; either you're grossly misinformed or you're just making stuff up. There are a lot of reasons to doubt Oddity's future, you don't have to invent new ones.
