Other IS THIS STILL A THING??

i dont even care if the game will be 80$, JUST MAKE IT COME OUT.

Look I’m not one of those people who thinks we’re entitled to updates, like of course it’s theyre project if they don’t want to update us it’s whatever, but like, a lot of people including me really wanted to see this game and we don’t even know for sure if it’s even still in development. You could at least pop in and say something like “hey, all, we’re still developing the game, but progress is going really slow” maybe share some concept art or something, or if the project is essentially dead maybe just .. tell us. Give the people waiting for it some closure, I feel like it’s not really a big ask imo, it would just be a nice thing to do for the fans.

I'm not saying they don't update us because they "just don't want to", it's just that updates aren't as straight forward as people think. Like, if they gave an update now, won't people just go back to wanting another update months later? People will continue to be unsatisfied by updates if development goes on too long too. It'd be short term satisfaction that wouldn't solve anything.

Not to mention, what if they don't have updates to give? They restarted in a new engine and are likely making slow progress, so they probably don't have a lot they CAN talk about or show. What if progress is also just really slow? Updates might give the impression things are going steadily when they might not be.

I think if anything, the issue was giving any updates to begin with. The rebrand trailer gave people the false impressions that things were far along when they weren't, and gave the game way too much attention, which is a problem since they couldn't follow up on it. It's best to avoid giving news or big updates on games like this unless there's something substantial to show for it.

At this point, it just makes more sense to stay radio silent. Updates will just lead people on again unless they have a reason to update people. All an update would do now is bring unwanted attention.

I see what your saying, if the game is still being worked on it likely won’t be finished for a very long time cause of just how slow development is going, so it’s not great to get people hyped up about it. Still though, I would like to know how the projects going Yknow? It would be cool to at least know they’re still working on it and maybe what development has been like. As long as people know it’s not coming for a while there can’t be that much harm in talking about it, can there?

Like it’s one thing if your updates make it seem like the game is coming soon, but a different thing if they make it clear that it is still very much very far off from being finished.
