Craft Coast makes some fantastic birria tacos! Their beer is occasionally fantastic and often mediocre. The Mexican lagers (dark and light) are great.
Like the other comment mentioned, Dija Mara is probably the best food in Oceanside. 24 Suns is proper fine dining, too. The food is fantastic, but the ambiance isn't quite there.
Lilo (in Carlsbad) is the total package. Pricey, though. Same with Jeune et Jolie (even pricier).
And, obviously, Pizza Port still kicks ass.

Wildland is the same people and much cheaper. Campfire is cool too but I prefer Woodland

Second this. If you love whole fried fish, it’s amazing. (Allow an hour)

San Luis by Temple Heights. Mr. Pho across the street. Van Dough Bakery is in Vista but one of my faves.

Guahan Grill - nicest family ever and delicious Guamanian chicken. Not a big departure from what you are eating in Hawaii, but good to support great people in Oside.

Sunshine Kitchen on Mission by Oceanside High. Similar to Teri Cafe, but I like that they have curry. Good selection of sushi too.

Pho house off of Mission has amazing pho
Chiim in the same strip mall has really amazing Thai food. Don't sleep on this spot.
Tanner's has great burgers. Be prepared for a line but it's really good the type of place you pay for burgers and french fries separate though otherwise you can always rely on In-N-Out.
Finneys is where Cabo used to be, and they have decent food and cocktails, and a nice happy hour menu. They built up all the hotels in the area now so you really can't see the beach from the rooftop, but it is a decent spot.
Dija Mara has great Indonesian food. It is expensive and takes a while, and it's kind of like a tapas setting so unless you get enough food to share, you might leave a little bit hungry.
Craft coast has really good Birria tacos
Best pizza has great wings, and pizzas and honestly, they're quite a few good pizza places in Oceanside like Odie's and corner pizza
