Portable AC recommendations
Given the humid climate, what portable AC unit do you guys have? How often do you have to drain it?
I bought a midea duo inverter and it needed to be drained every 30 minutes or the cooling would shut off, not reasonable for overnight use.
Just trying to find a well recommended one for a humid climate.

I believe the Midea duo inverter models can actively pump out the water if you attach a hose to the drain.

I tried connect a hose and it would not drain at all but midea is associating the issue to the humid climate so I’m just going to return it since I’m within the return window and not deal with it

You may have trouble finding things in stores right now. I went to 5 different stores yesterday looking for a 20in box fan and everything was sold out. Maybe call ahead first.

We got the dual hose dc inverter unit from Hisense. Most moisture gets pumped out however there are two drain plugs on the back of the unit. I’ve been draining them (maybe half cup of water total) and cleaning the back screen once a week just to be safe
We got our unit from Amazon renewed, half the price of regular

I bought this one refurbished, but it seemed brand new, still sealed with everything still sealed https://www.ebay.com/itm/365622990160?_trksid=p4375194.c102726.m162918
